What school consistently pumps the most talent into the NFL?
-
Pick6Whats your guys thoughts?
The "U" has tons of all-stars in the league.
OSU has plenty of solid players but not really any big time players lately.
Florida? Michigan? -
Trueblue23USC

You don't think Santonio Holmes is a big time player? James Laurinaitis? AJ Hawk? Will Smith? Nick Mangold? Orlando Pace (not good anymore, but one of the best the NFL ever had)?Pick6 wrote: Whats your guys thoughts?

Miami (Fl.)
Florida
Georgia (to an extent)
USC
OSU
Michigan
Probably a few more that I'm missing, but those seem to be the bigger ones. -

Those are all pretty good players..but not in the same category as players like Andre Johnson, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Tom Brady. JMO. exc Orlando Pace that is.DaBrowns41 wrote:

DaBrowns41I can see what you're saying. But they are still pretty big role players.
I think that majority of the most talented players (Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, and many more, etc.) mostly come from different schools. There doesn't really seem to be any school that just pumps out elite NFL talent all the time. -

Tom Brady is not good unless the Patriots can cheat by stealing signals and filming the other team illegally.Pick6 wrote:

Also, I'd say Holmes as Super Bowl MVP and Mangold as a pro bowler was pretty good. -
Azubuike24Georgia has as many impact NFL players as anyone over the last decade. They definitely win the award for most NFL talent produced with the least amount of success in college football.
At least Florida, USC, Ohio State, Miami, LSU, etc...have all won national titles. Georgia has never even played in a title, let alone won one. They only have 2 outright SEC titles. -

Im going to have to respectfully disagree with you on that statement, sir.Azubuike24 wrote: Georgia has as many impact NFL players as anyone over the last decade. They definitely win the award for most NFL talent produced with the least amount of success in college football.

Azubuike24If we are talking about the elite NFL talent producers, who trumps UGA? Their all-NFL team is as impressive as anyone...yet they haven't even played in a national title game.
-
Azubuike24Georgia has had 28 players drafted on the first day of the NFL draft since 2000.
-
Classyposter58Miami has had the most talent into the NFL. Look at stars like Portis, Gore, Shockey, Winslow, Hester, Santana Moss, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Wilfork, Ray Lewis, Vilma, Merriweather, Reed, Antrel Rolle and Sean Taylor. It's hard to imagine all these great players are from one school

Well, we aren't really talking about their draft positions. We're talking about guys that became stars. I agree with you to an extent, however. They've put a lot of NFL talent on the field.Azubuike24 wrote: Georgia has had 28 players drafted on the first day of the NFL draft since 2000. -
sleeperOhio State
USC
Miami -
3reppomOver the last 20 or 30 years it would be Miami by a large margin. over the entire history of the NFL amateur draft I would say it's USC.
-
ytownfootballND and USC are neck and neck alltime
In fact, ND held the lead until '08, since though I think USC has gone ahead. -
darbypitcher22I think over the last decade its been something like USC, Miami, and Ohio State that have had the most draft picks
-
j_crazyOklahoma? Texas?
-
centralbucksfanI'll see if I can find the article...but I actually read something about USC and all "their talent" haven't exactly panned out very well in the NFL....at least in terms of impact. Lienart is one. Bush hasn't exactly lived up to the hype either. All those WR and TE's...don't hear much about those either to be honest. Obviously, they have put guys in the NFL...but this "great" talent hasn't had huge impacts in the NFL.
-
trackandccrunnerI'd say Miami is at the top of this list. It's crazy when you think of all the top guys who are in the league right now that went to Miami. CBF I agree about USC sure they do bring guys to the NFL but a lot of them don't really pan out to be great players.
-
Azubuike24I'd say if you take the likes of Carson Palmer, Steve Smith, Troy Polamalu, Rey Maualuga, Keith Rivers, Reggie Bush, Clay Matthews, Brian Cushing, Lofa Tatupu, Fred Davis, Sam Baker, LenDale White, Mike Patterson, Matt Cassel and Justin Fargas, that's a pretty good list of NFL players.
Sure some have busted, but you can't honestly say most of USC's players bust. -

Doesn't account for "quality" just raw numbers. There are links that go with the stats but are no longer active so take it for what it's worth. -

3reppomthe question isn't which school has produced the most hall of famers or pro bowlers, simply which school has sent the most people to the NFL. For that question USC is at or near the top.
