rugbywrestlerWhen they have some guys who are hitting they can beat a lot of teams but when they go through slumps like the beginning of last nights game, they'll get knocked out of the tourny early. Personally I'd like to think that they get hot and at least get to the Sweet 16

thedynasty1998OSU has the potential to beat anyone in the country on any given night, and I really believe that.
But that means that everyone has to play well and Diebler has to contribute at least 15 points. Say OSU gets matched up with Kentucky in the tournament, Kentucky is the superior team, but if OSU shoots well from the field, Lauderdale gets 12 rebounds and 5 blocks, Turner gets his, Buford, Light and Dielber all score around 15-20 points, they could win.
I just don't think that's very realistic though. -
Hb31187The Buckeyes would have to have everyone hitting their shots I agree....but also theyd have to have everyone play 35 or more minutes because their bench is prettttty bad

Big Gain
Diebler has to contribute AT LEAST 15 to win big games? He doesn't get enough touches these days. If Turner, Bufford and Lighty combine for 60, why must Diebler score AT LEAST 15 for Ohio State to win?thedynasty1998 wrote: OSU has the potential to beat anyone in the country on any given night, and I really believe that.

It is absolutely impossible for Lauderdale to get 12 rebounds, he's never had 10, he plays less than 25 minutes. He'd have to knock down Turner to get double digits in rebounds.
If Ohio State gets matched up with Kentucky, they have to shot under 40% from the field for Ohio State to have a chance. -
ytownfootballLack of strong, consistent post play would certainly play a factor in how far the Bucks make it in the tourney.

centralbucksfanIt all depends on their bracket and who they would get matched up with. I'd take UK over the likes of Texas, Nova, Kansas or 'Cuse. The front lines on those teams vs a pretty small OSU team would NOT be a good matchup. OSU matches up better with UK and the UK youth will rear its head at some point IMO. They tend to play to the level of other teams sometimes. UK is good/talented..no question. But physically, OSU matches up better with them then they do others.
And as mentioned...OSU is a scarey team to play against. Why? Because they can flat out shoot the ball. They are a 50% team over the past 2 seasons. If they are on...which isn't unreasonable...they could beat just about anyone. But, they have to get better defensively, and have to be able to rebound well. Those are the two keys, no matter who they play.
I'd be happy with a sweet 16 appearance with this team. Love to see them go further. Not sure they can depending on upsets/matchups. -

You can't honestly think that the Villanova front court would be a tougher match up than Patterson and Cousins, 2 future NBA lottery picks.centralbucksfan wrote: It all depends on their bracket and who they would get matched up with. No, Vill had great guard play. Something MOST final four teams have in a regular basis.Mulva wrote:
