  Someone made that on a paint program, that looks like shit.
  
  Michigan State has a sweet logo as is, it is instantly recognizable across the country. Why change it? They won't.

  They are changing it. It was even reported on both the Big Ten Network and ESPN..

  I liked the new one, but it's not really a tradition I care about. (Meaning that if they tried to change the OSU logo I might not like it either, but from an outsiders point of view I thought it looked pretty good.)

  Based on all the trouble they have been having up there they should change their helmet colors to match the orange jumpsuits.

  I don't care for the new logo, and like others have said Nike seems to be behind it. Tom Izzo came out the other day and called out those who don't like the new logo and was defending Nike to the death.

  ^^ Agreed. I have never seen a replica of a Spartan helmet that didn't cover the entire head. Put a head in the new style helmet and the ears would be uncovered.
  
  I also don't understand why they are getting rid of the flare by making the interior semi-circle solid. I would think that that design flaw would be an immediate deal breaker.

  I'm a traditionalist, for the most part -- and the old logo was/is great.
  
  This is unnecessary and is a step back, in my view.

  The Athletic Dept. at Michigan State has backed down. They are keeping the old logo.

  I just like tradition. The new one looks like something Nike would make for Oregon. Trying to be edgy, just doesn't work for me.
