  IMO, the major issue tonite, was effort. OSU went into cruise mode late in first half. Then got down. At about the 8 minute mark, u could see them crank it up and become much more aggressive. Good to see Lighty step up while Turner was struggling for a while. The BENCH was horrid tonite as well. They gotta know and understand their roles better. Simmons and Hill came in trying to do too much.

  I think the major issues were that Turner got in foul trouble early once again and our defense against dribble penetration was terrible.
  
  You could tell Turner was waiting until later in the 2nd half before going into aggressive mode. Once he knew his foul problems weren't going to matter, he attacked the basket multiple times.

  Turner's numbers being referred to were - 18.4 ppg, shooting .550 from the field, 9.9 Reb/game and 5.5 assists/game. He said the only NBA players to average ALL of those numbers for a season were Kareem and Wilt. As an example, this year LeBron only averages 7.2 Reb/game and his shooting percentage is only .506.
  
  If you remove the game Turner got hurt in, he only played 7 minutes before being injured. His line improves to 19.4ppg, shooting .550 from the field, 10.6 Reb/game and 5.9 assist/game.

  Turner is a stud no doubt and his numbers are ridiculous for the college game. Hopefully he translates that to the NBA. I've called him the brokemans' LeBron since last season.

  wow--wasn't pretty,but it's a Big Ten win on the road...it was nice to see some attitude in their rebounding,although it wasn't until the last five minutes of the game that they decided to show it--better late than never,I guess--GO BUCKS!!!

  The last five minutes was good,the first 35 not so much. Sometimes you just have to keep working to get things going. Last night was one of those games. Not a thing of beauty but still a win.

  A win on the road in conference is tough, and I don't care who it's against. The only bright spot from the game yesterday, is that you saw that OSU was able to turn on that switch and start to play when they needed to. They made plays down the stretch and got it done.
  
  Wasn't pretty, but it's a win.
  
  And after how the WVU game played out, I'm not all that surprised. Huge letdown in Morgantown, and I thought they might come out sluggish with the hangover.

  Part of that was the refs not calling any moving screens on Iowa-they did it all night and got away with it.

  Exactly!! I was thinking the same thing as I was watching the game last night. Turner's 2nd foul should have been a foul on the man setting the screen who pretty much pushed turner right into the man with the ball. There were MANY questionable calls against the Buckeyes last night. How about the "and one" continuation for Iowa in the first half?!?

  high school = high school, college = college, NBA = NBA. Referencing how difficult it is to average specific numbers at one level only shows how difficult it is to do at another level. PLAYING AGAINST PLAYERS AT YOUR LEVEL.

  That may have been the worse one all night. That play, Evan Turner's 2nd foul, and one play in the 2nd half where an Iowa defender came from the paint halfway to the timeline to set a pick, were three plays that stood out to me. Oh well, OSU overcame all of that to pick up a win.
  
  But yeah, the continuation was probably the worst of all of them.
