Touchdown Toby Goes Pro

    (insert comment, expectations here)

Very little expectations. He's a one dimensional RB who's lack of speed won't translate well to the NFL to be a #1 runner.

He's a 2 down back, and offers no help catching out of the backfield, or staying in to block.

I think he's an absolute stud and will surely find a place in the NFL. Hell, if Jamal Lewis was a starting RB in the NFL last year, Gerhart certainly can be right?

Starting for the Cleveland Browns and being terrible doesn't mean much, TBH.

he will get brian leonard type minutes

IN the right system can be a solid power back. I could see him like L. Weaver from philly.

I don't think that he will be a stud at the next level, although I do think he will be a decent back if he is used correctly.

He did run a 4.48 40 time. Most of the records he broke at Stanford were Tommy Vardells. TD Tommy didnt work out so well in the NFL.

he's a physical back I'd love to have toting the rock for my team.

Would love to have him playing in my outfield too.

Someone is going to get a good RB in the middle round.

Pretty sure I heard during the Heisman show that he already finished up his degree, so this move makes sense.

I doubt if he'll be an NFL star, but he's a physical runner who will be a pretty good back for someone, in my opinion.

That is what I was thinking. Worked out pretty well for him but we haven't really seen the John Riggins type since Riggins.

I'm pretty sure he already has his degree, or will before he gets to the NFL, so it is the only move that makes sense. Chance to be an NFL RB and a Stanford degree to fall back on...not a bad situation to be in.

    B B B Bust(if someone takes him before round 3)

    ^^^^

    which probably won't happen.

I know he has his degree, but if it were me I would have stayed and worked on my Masters, enjoyed another year with the college co-eds, and have another magical year of college football. It's like the credit card commerical: those things are priceless.

As others have pointed out, he will likely be a Brian Leonard type of guy. His box score will read 5 carries for 20 yards, 2 catches for 20 yards for most of his career.

^And his bank account will have several more zeros behind it than the box score, so I doubt he cares lol.
