Tennessee's next head coach: Derek Dooley

^The OSU's, Oklahoma's and USC's are nice to see way down the road, but when you're OOC schedule since 1997 consistently is comprised of a rotating carousel of Sunbelt/WAC schools, with Miami and UCLA sprinkled in there a few seasons, that's not exactly playing "elite" teams on a consistent basis. UCLA hasn't been relevant since...well...it's been awhile (although I think Rick will get them back soon). Miami was really good at the time they scheduled them, but by '03-04 had begun their downturn under Coker. Rutgers, Cal, and Duke/North Carolina are about on par with OSU playing Washington/Wash. State/Texas Tech recently. None of those schools are world beaters, that have ever seriously contended for a NC in that time frame (although Wazzu won a few Rose bowls), so I think it's fair to say that outside of Miami, Tennessee hasn't really played a nationally elite school OOC since 1997 (excluding bowl games of course).
