Are you implying he's not fast on the football field?

The kid is fast everywhere. He has great football speed as well as track speed. He didn't have anywhere to go against Ohio State, but that is because Ohio State's defense was fast and disciplined.

No, what I was simply saying was that there's a difference between track speed and on the field in pads speed. Obviously he's fast, I'm just making the point that there's a difference in the two.

LOL @ my fellow OSU fans on this thread. You guys are pathetic.

Denard is certainly one of the fastest players in the Big Ten. I agree that track speed doesn't exactly equate to football speed (a great example of that was brought up in this thread--Brandon Saine) but if you're fast, you're fast. He's fast. If he tied his shoes he might only be faster lol. Who gives a shit if we have anyone faster, I don't think that's why TB started this thread anyways even though he said it. But he may be right anyways. I just don't see why some of you guys are flipping out and trying to argue it lol.

Robinson is fast on the track and on the football field.

Doesn't Chimdi Checkwa run on the track team?

Denard did have 6 more weeks than OSU's football players to get ready for this event.

    Name them.

I too would have liked to see him run against some players like Saine, Small, maybe even Posey to see how they compared.

Small- 10.50 FAT in the 100

    Sanzenbacher- 47.9 400 meter, 22.1 200 in HS

    Chekwa 10.7 100 meter

James Jackson- state 60 m record holder in Michigan 6.70

    Posey- 21.5 in the 200 and 47.7 400

I dont have time to look up the rest but there are lots of track guys that are fast on OSU team.

Just found this when looking for 200 times for Robinson. Robinson has run a 10.56 in the 100 and a 21.89 in the 200. So it seems that he is faster than Chekwa and Sanzenbacher.

All of them are pretty freaking fast though.

Most likely correct barring injury to Tate or Devin. Most likely Denard is going to be a little bit of everywhere on offense this coming season.

Interesting side note- Michigan looks like they might be able to reel in Denard's cousin Demar Dorsey. If you thought Denard was fast wait untill you see Demarr! The kid ran an electronic 4.25 40 at a combine last year.
  • Thunder70
    how big is he?
  • Tinkertrain
Michigan would use him on both sides of the ball.

I dont care what school you root for the idea of having to defend Denard and Demarr on the same field at the same time is scary shit.
  • cbus4life
They're both fast as hell, for sure, but that isn't everything.

    Only time will tell!

My fiancee has season tickets for this upcoming year, so should be fun to be up there!

We all know that a school with the pedigree that Michigan has won't remain down for very long. Good players will always be attracted to places like Michigan. I expect the Wolverines to be much better the third time around under RR. I still don't think that they will be good enough to win the 'Big Game" this coming season. Ohio State will be too good for them again. Eventually the series will turn around again and things will be back to being tense and unpredictable every year. Robinson will have a nice season and Michigan will be in the 8-4, 9-3 range next year but the Bucks could have another 10-11 or better campaign. Be patient Michigan fans. You folks will win one before too long.

I said it numerous times in game threads last year, the faster RR tries to turn denard into percy harvin the better. he was just keeping him off the field last year in case tate got hurt so sheridan didn't see the field.

I really hope to see him returning kicks in the spring.
  • OldDanTucker
^he couldn't be much worse then junior heminghwy or greg mathews. I still haven't figured out why odoms wasn't returning kicks/punts

He can hang his coat on this accomplishemt, because he'll never win on the football field.

Hard to be fast when you're flat on your back gasping for breath because you just got slobber-knocked in the earhole.
