Crazy hypothetical coaching changes

  • SportsAndLady
Lets think of crazy coaching changes that "could" (but won't) happen in the next couple weeks, after this Lane Kiffin fiasco.

    I'm thinking:

Jim Tressel takes job at UT
Rich Rod takes OC job at UT

Urban Meyer Resigns, Pete Carroll takes Seahawks job, Lane Kiffen takes USC job, Mike Leach is fired from Texas Tech, haven't we been playing this game for a month now?

It'd be great if Mike Leach got the Tennessee job.

OC at UCLA. he's a west coast guy and they need one.

Could you imagine Mike Leach's passing offense against the SEC? Neutralizing the defensive line advantage of other teams?

Edit: Nevermind, we saw what happened with Leach's best team against Ole Miss last bowl season.

Larry Kehres named UF coach after Urban Meyer decides to take the Tennessee job. LK names Mike Leach offensive coordinator. :)

Thread pad? i don't give two shits about post count or how many threads I start, just thought this would be fun discussion. But that's ironic coming from you, considering all you type in threads are "I agree !!! *insert smiley with tongue sticking out*"

If you think this could actually happen then you're insane. Sorry, while I guess it's actually possible (this is the wrong word as I really don't believe it is possible) there is a chance for everything... but doesn't mean it could happen... there is no way it actually could happen.
  • SportsAndLady
Yeah that's why I said "could" (but won't) happen.

Could implies that it is possible... there is no chance that actually could happen. Just too out there.
  • SportsAndLady
Well it definitely COULD happen, even though it's like a .001 chance...so you saying that it'll never happen is actually wrong, and me saying it could but won't is correct.

I disagree, there is literally 0% chance the first option could happen. It's not a could situation imo.

    RR takes the DC job.

When you put "imo" at the end of something, it's hard for someone to take it as a fact...just a lil fyi.

Because it's not a fact... if it was a fact I could prove it. But I don't have a way to prove it. I put that in there because it's obviously my opinion... I have pretty decent command of the English language and consequently with diction, when I say something I usually mean it unless it's a spelling error or I'm tired or drunk... just a lil fyi.

Heaven forbid you tried to start a fun "what if" thread without the rational police invading... I tried to play along

JT heads back to Ytown to restore YSU to glory.

Lloyd Carr takes over as OSU HC. Maurice Clarett joins staff as RB coach with Greg Paulus becoming QB coach. John Cooper joins staff as a special assistant for Michigan week only. With he and Carr each exorcising their "The Game" demons, something has to give. Lane Kiffin becomes ethics advisor. Joe Pa hangs out in the booth just because he's a badass. Alex Boone gives preseason pep talk on the dangers of excessive drinking. Carlos Dunlap flies in from Florida to help Boone out; they play bumper cars to illustrate their point. DYNASTY.

Exactly. Leach's offense would never work against teams that have talent and play defense. Tennessee doesn't need Leach. They can get anyone to come in and win 7-8 games a year.

I actually think it would be great to see USF hire Leach, a guy fired for locking a ESPN analysts son in a storage closet, to replace Leavitt, who was fired for allegedly grabbing a player by the throat.
