Laley23Thats cool. Aldrichs was sick.
My HS team made 3 in a row before, but HS gyms are easier to make a half court shot from. Couple feet closer. -
reclegend22Pretty cool video.
We used to have half-court contest in high school after practice. We'd play to 20 and whoever made 20 half-court shots first was the winner. As Laley said, because the old high schools gyms had shorter courts, it's much easier to make shots from the mid-court line. It usually didn't take us long to reach 20.
As a long range specialist (you still here, ringer? ), back in high school a buddy of mine and I literally had range out to the half-court circle and could hit 3 or 4 out of 10 from there consistently. We had some mad games of K-R-Z-Y-Z-E-W-S-K-I. Our one-on-one games pretty much looked like that KU video -

I used to play H-O-R-S-E with my coach after practice....almost daily. It wasnt so much trick shots like you usually see. We would just pull from no closer than the volleyball line. I remember winning on a shot from under the other basket that bounced in, lol.reclegend22 wrote: Pretty cool video.

reclegend22^^Haha. I'm going to sound like Shooter from Hickory, but those were fun days, weren't they! I miss those moments the most, I think. Always being in the gym, with that being all that mattered.

This reminds me of a funny story. Three of my friends and I used to religiously stay after practice and play rounds of one-on-one games each night. We'd play make it take it to 10 (scoring ones and twos). And, just to set the record straight, these weren't games of one-on-one; they were where-can-you-win-a-car-from contests. During one such game, I made my first shot from just inside the corner of half-court and the sideline. After my friend checked me the ball, I dribbled back out there and made it again. He told me I could have that shot all day. I won 10-0. Lol.Laley wrote:I used to play H-O-R-S-E with my coach after practice....almost daily. It wasnt so much trick shots like you usually see. SportsAndLadyMaybe they should have practiced against the walk-ons, considering they just lost to a team of walk-ons...
