Virginia Tech at North Carolina
-
ironman02The Hokies (12-1) will travel to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels (11-4) tomorrow night at 7:45 PM on FSN.
Tech is riding a 9 game winning streak after its lone loss of the season to Temple back on November 27th. Carolina, who is coming off an awful loss to College of Charleston, will be without senior G/F Marcus Ginyard who is still out with an ankle injury. Will Graves (ankle) and Leslie McDonald (ankle) are also questionable for the game. Tech guard Malcolm Delaney didn't play in the last game for the Hokies, but I think he is expected to go tomorrow night.
VT is a very dangerous team and they have played well to this point in the season. Over the last few years, they have given Carolina a lot of trouble, and with a stuggling and beat up group of Tar Heels, this contest should be no different.
This will be the first ACC game for each team, and it is now time to see if Carolina will finally step it up and raise its level of play. If the Heels play to their potential, I think they will get the win. If they continue to play the way they have been, the Hokies will certainly hand them a loss in the Smith Center. -
hoops23It'll be a tough game, to start off with, but I'm thinking UNC pulls away late and wins by around 10...
Hopefully we can finally limit the to's and get out in transition by creating to's of our own... -
wildcats20Looks like Delaney might be a go. Just caught the tail end of a promo for the game during the Maryland/FSU game, saying he was out on the floor warming up.
-
swamisezI was wanting to go to this game, but I was shocked at how tough a ticket it was. Many Hokie Faithful are in CH tonight, fully expecting an upset.
I hope Greenberg delivers -
ironman02So it looks like I have the Blue Jackets on my FSN.
Guess I'll be watching the game here...

wildcats20I have the Jackets on the normal channel. Had the Terps/FSU on another channel that shows FSN in HD, but now they have gone to Cavs stuff. I'm assuming I'll be getting that instead.
-
wildcats20Delaney is playing and starting.
-
hoops23Yeah, I'm getting the Cavs stuff too..
-
karen lotzCavs are on ESPN, I have CBJs on Fox sports ohio and Heels on Fosx sports detroit. Ginyard will be playing
-
ironman02Looks like all the guys with ankle injuries are playing, including Ginyard.
Edit: Karen beat me to it. -
wildcats20Jesus Christ Will Graves STOP shooting the ball every time you touch it.
1 possession and 0-3 from 3. -
ironman02Memo to Will Graves:
Stop jacking up shots when you're not remotely open. -
wildcats20Tyler Zeller really needs to start and play a lot of minutes.
-
ironman02Zeller has been playing well. I don't like that he shoots every time he touches the ball, but he has been pretty productive despite that.
-
ironman02Take care of the friggin ball! Is it really that hard?
-
wildcats20For this team apparently it is.
-
ironman02John Henson is playing well. Too bad he's the only one.
-
wildcats2017-12 Hokies at the under 12 timeout.
-
karen lotzso many mental lapses, got lucky Va Tech called the TO there. I know the team is young but it sometimes seems they have never played organized basketball before
-
karen lotzI really like Strickland, he needs to be playing more minutes than Drew II
-
ironman02Rebound the damn basketball!
This team is just stupid. -
wildcats20It's not even mental lapses right now, Va Tech is just out willing and out hustling the Heels.

Couldn't agree more.karen lotz wrote: I really like Strickland, he needs to be playing more minutes than Drew II
Drew II has been regressing lately. -
swamisezCarolina plays like a game of NBA street.
Come March they will be a wrecking ball once again. Gotta get comfortable with eachother and guards have to have time to develop. I fear the ACC could wear on them a little bit though. -
wildcats20Strickland seems to want to take this game over. I say let him.
