ND Fans I Need Help
-
Turf WardenSeveral friends and I were discussing NEXT college football season, and when the talk turned to Notre Dame, the first question was who would be replacing Clausen. We all could recall that the year after Clausen was recruited, they landed another top rated QB, I believe from Claifornia, but we couldn't come up with his name.
Who are we thinking of?
Is he still with the Irish?
(If so)
Will he fit Kelly's system?
Is he the first choice (in your opinion) to be the starter next year? -
rock_knutneThe top rated QB you speak of is Dayne Crist. Crist tore his ACL against Washington State and could miss some spring practice but he will be the starting QB barring any set back from his ACL rehab. Also, yes, he fits Kelly's offensive scheme to a "T".
I believe Crist is the first choice and the best choice, ND is thin at the QB position. A healthy Dayne Crist will be a huge key to ND's success next year. Brian Kelly is excited to have Crist, he likes what he saw on film. Crist has three years of eligibility left. -
karen lotzIn addition to Crist, ND has two QBs in this years recruiting class. Tommy Rees and Andrew Hendrix have both committed to ND. Rees is going the early enroll route and will be the only true scholarship quarterback healthy for spring practice. Crist should be able to do some 7 on 7 passing in the spring and then, as rock said, he will be the starter in the fall as long as his knee has healed.

athlete37Crist's knee is healing well. Think you'll be pleasantly surprised with how much he does this Spring.
