Looks like Pryor will be Heisman frontrunner next year
-
Pick6I blame the Texas loss last year on the defense. The drove right down the field at the end of the game, I seen it coming.
-
King CurtisPryor is nowhere near the Heisman front runner for next year.
The Heisman front runner for next year is playing tonight.
He will be on the line on whether he gets an invite to New York next year for the ceremony. -
spartybbcoachAll I have to say is "You got to be kidding." Pryor is over rated and mediocre at best.
-
killer_ewokHe'll be in the top few contenders to start the season but I think that Ingram is the frontrunner heading into next year.
-
devil1197Ingram has to be the frontrunner but there is a good % chance that he won't win it next season.

I agree with that since it's only been done once in history but I think that Ingram's chances are better than past returning Heisman winners. Call me crazy but I think his position (RB) helps him. Also, a lot of the marquee players from this season will be gone.devil1197 wrote: Ingram has to be the frontrunner but there is a good % chance that he won't win it next season. -
allstarHe'll be talked about as a contender preseason, but not as a serious contender. Plus, I think Tressel goes back to I formation, power right every play next year, just like he did this year.

Maybe. I think it depends on TP's development this spring. If he improves his throwing, mechanics, then I think you see a more balanced attack like the one employed against Oregonallstar wrote: I think Tressel goes back to I formation, power right every play next year, just like he did this year. -

Yes but there is a group of RB's that will be getting a ton of press going into next season. All in the same class and all play in conferences where they could put up big numbers.killer_ewok wrote:

Lewis from Pitt
Williams from VaTech
James from Oregon
Now I am not saying those guys will be in the Heisman hunt, but they could easily put up great numbers and their teams put up a good BCS bid record. -

Wasn't Dion Lewis a Freshman this season?devil1197 wrote:

Anyways, can't say that I disagree with your logic. I just like his odds better being a RB rather than a QB. I mean, the only two-time Heisman winner in history was a RB. -
hoops23Who gives a shit about the Heisman anymore?

The Heisman is getting to be a joke to me. Anymore it seems like the award goes to the best QB/RB on a team playing in the National Championship. The award is supposed to be given to the "most outstanding" playerkiller_ewok wrote:

As was Williams and James. All three are Freshman heading into their SO seasons on teams that will be good in conferences where they can put up big numbers.killer_ewok wrote:

Hell Williams already has broken numerous rushing records this season as a freshman.
Also, the last three Heisman winners have been Soph's. -

Check the year when Tebow won it and see what the Gators record was.jordo212000 wrote:

Why because only Archie can win 2? Give me a break. If Ingram is the best player in college football next year or the year after, he wins it. Like it is supposed to.sleeper wrote:
Ingram is not the front runner. Sure, he'll be in the discussion, but he's not going to win 2 Heismans, okay?
It's cliche and annoying at this point.

I thought you were saying that they are in the same class as Ingram. My bad.devil1197 wrote:

devil1197No, those are the 3 big SO RB's and there is one more but his name is slipping my mind.
