Does OSU pull close to Washington this week?
-
Ironman92Embarrassing a top 10 ranked team by nearly 60
Destroyed top 12 Oklahoma
Won at top 8 Wisconsin -
ironman02#1 - Alabama
#2 - Clemson
#3 - Michigan
#4 - Washington (Leading Cal 21-20)
#5 - Ohio State
#6 - Louisville
#7 - Wisconsin
#8 - Auburn
#9 - Penn State
#10 - Oklahoma
That's my guess at the Top 10 this week. Really wonder what happens if OSU ends up beating Michigan (and wins the Big 10) and Washington somehow loses a game, but wins the PAC12. I really feel like Michigan should be the #4 team in that scenario. -

No doubt. Would have wins against 2 teams around top 10 (Wisconsin/PSU) and a way better loss.ironman02;1822127 wrote:#1 - Alabama

ironman02Should be interesting to see how everything plays out. I do kinda wonder about your original question though.
Would they consider OSU jumping Washington after beating the #10 team by 59 points, especially if Washington wins a close game against an unranked opponent? My guess is no, but they didn't hesitate to put A&M over them last week.
This Ohio State win feels like the statement win over Wisconsin in 2014. -
ironman02Washington has scored 35 unanswered against Cal to now lead 56-20 in the 3rdQ.
Browning and his offense are impressive. The PAC12 is pretty bad this year, so it's hard to know how good Washington really is, but they definitely look tough. -
slingshot4everWho cares....we win out we are in, lose once we are done

We're aware of that. Are we not allowed to talk about anything else? Damn!!slingshot4ever;1822140 wrote:Who cares....we win out we are in, lose once we are done -

Azubuike24A more valid question would be what order does Clemson and Washington fall in (assuming Alabama and Michigan win out, they are probably the clear #1 and #2). Obviously Washington would probably rather play in the Fiesta Bowl and Clemson in the Peach Bowl.
If it was Alabama vs Washington in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, it would be 90% Alabama fans, versus Alabama/Clemson where it would be pretty even. -
vball10setimo, tonight's poll...
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. ttun
4. THE OSU -

I agree. But wouldn't at all be surprised if Washington is 4.vball10set;1822684 wrote:imo, tonight's poll...

Classyposter58Washington should be 4th lol they're undefeated in a major conference

So that automatically makes them one of the best 4 teams?Classyposter58;1822694 wrote:Washington should be 4th lol they're undefeated in a major conference -

Benny The JetThe committee done goofed by setting the precedent last week and putting a 1-loss team ahead of Washington. They SHOULD keep with that and keep OSU ahead of them. Here's their resumes...

If you're going to put a 1 loss A&M team ahead of undefeated Washington, you're going to put a 1 loss Ohio State team ahead of Washington. -
sleeperI'd put Washington at 4. Undefeated is undefeated.
OSU is in if we win out. We control our own destiny. -

Yes. As our loss shows it's very hard to be undefeated in college football and that is not getting enough creditwildcats20;1822695 wrote:So that automatically makes them one of the best 4 teams? -

I concur. At this point, an undefeated Wash team is gonna be above OSU, who lost to a team not in the top ten. Was PSU even ranked at the time?Classyposter58;1822757 wrote:Yes. As our loss shows it's very hard to be undefeated in college football and that is not getting enough credit
NOw...if OSU wins out I could see them jumping washington in the final poll for the fact they would have went through MIchigan and likely wisky again. -

Who gives a shit if they were ranked at the time? They're a top 12 team.thavoice;1822758 wrote:I concur. At this point, an undefeated Wash team is gonna be above OSU, who lost to a team not in the top ten. Was PSU even ranked at the time?

OSU has 3 very good wins and a loss against a top 12 team.
That beats Washington's resume. -

When Wash is above OSU tonight, that will be the 'proof'.
It doesnt matter though. OSU wins out and gets past Michigan, assuming Mich doesnt lose a game or two before that matchup, and wins the B10 champ game they will likely be put ahead of Washington. -

LOL the committee doesn't give two fucks what a team was ranked at the time. They care about now. And PSU is a top 12 team.thavoice;1822761 wrote:The committee, that is who.
