    Mine:

    1. OSU
    2. Bama
    3. Clemson
    4. Michigan
    5. Houston
    6. Washington
    7. A&M
    8. Louisville
    9. Tennessee
    10. Baylor
  • dwccrew
    1. Alabama (I'll leave the defending champs at the top spot even though I think the Buckeyes are better, just because last year we were all crying about defending champ OSU getting bumped from #1)
    2. Ohio State
    3. Michigan
    4. Clemson
    5. Houston
    6. Washington
    7. Louisville
    8. Texas A&M
    9. Baylor
    10. Miami (FL)

    3. Clemson
    4. Michigan
    5. Houston
    6. Washington
    7. Texas A&M
    8. Louisville
    9. Tennessee
    10. Baylor

I want to put the Bucks Number 1 but I have to agree with Dwc I have a hard time bumping the reigning NC from the number one spot.
  • Benny The Jet
    1. OSU
    2. Alabama
    3. Clemson
    4. Texas A&M
    5. Louisville
    6. Michigan
    7. Houston
    8. Washington
    9. Miami
    10. Baylor

I think Texas A&M is REALLY good. Even with the loss...as an OSU fan, I'd probably least want to play Louisville after watching them. Michigan seems really good on defense...but their offense isn't scaring anyone. Butt's dangerous in the red-zone...but they have to get there first.

I have no idea what they'll do with Clemson. Wouldn't they have to be ahead of Louisville since they beat them head-to-head? I would probably flip those two and then agree with everything else you have.

    4. Louisville
    5. Washington

Louisville's shellacking of FSU and game was super tight at Clemson.

Hard for Clemson to lose to a meh Pittsburgh team in Death Valley and only drop 1.
  • Ironman92
I guess Clemson beat Auburn can be added. I had Clemson close enough that if win championship game they are above Louisville and in

I'm not sure you can have Clemson over Louisville but not have Michigan over Wisconsin which they defeated and has 1 fewer loss
  • wildcats20
I just don't see the committee putting teams that lost head to head games above the winner(except OSU, obviously)

Saw an interesting point on ESPN today. They were talking about how it's very likely that OSU will be ranked #2 in the next CFP rankings, but as we all know, might not make it to the Big 10 Championship Game. If OSU continued to win, they'd be sitting at 11-1 and would have beaten Michigan to only strengthen their resume. At that point, can the committee justify dropping them to #5 because they aren't a conference champ?

The committee has shown in the past that they place great value on being a conference champion, and they also haven't hesitated to jump conference champs over teams that were ranked higher in the final week. An 11-1 Ohio State would, in my opinion, be one of the four best teams, especially with many quality wins. But not being a conference champ is gonna come back to bite them, I'm afraid.

Used the TCU comparison, I believe.

Oklahoma State has to feel kinda pissed off. Yes, they have a bad loss to Baylor, but they literally shouldn't have a second loss. That botched call at the end of their Central Michigan game was absurd. If they beat Oklahoma next weekend, they could've been close to sneaking into the playoff conversation.

Anyway, I think your Top 10 is probably exactly what I would have.

Bama and Big Ten Winner/Washington - Peach Bowl
OSU and Clemson - Fiesta Bowl

Washington or winner of Wisky/PSU will be a tough decision. OSU resume is untouchable with wins on road against Top 10 teams in Wisky and Oklahoma. Then Top 25 against Nebraska at home (by 59!) and against top 5 Michigan. I see no way they get left out. If they did, it would tell me that strength of schedule/quality of non conference opponents does not matter and we should all go back to scheduling cream puffs to ensure Ws. Them being left out points to "win your conference or else"...at which point Notre Dame could NEVER get in.
