Ironman92Nova just dominated like the Uconn girls

reclegend22I like Jay Wright. Hope he gets himself and his school a much deserved championship on Monday night.

I will say I think it's more the rims than the depth perception. New rims have no give at all, you see this often at the final four where they put brand new hoops in and if it even touches the rim it bounces out hardwildcats20;1789958 wrote:But, but the dome!!?! -
Ironman92UNC getting the offensive rebounds like Oklahoma did early in 2nd half
-
Ironman92See if Boeheim has any tricks up his sleeve
-
Ironman92When Lydin has been in this game has been even...but about -12 when he's been out.
-
Ironman92Hate that it took this long and it's UNC, but glad Cuse is finally eliminated.
-
Ironman92Well, the two best teams of the tournament will play for the championship. Bias aside not sure how anyone could be upset with the two teams.
Nova has had "the look" the entire tournament and UNC pretty much has as well. I think UNC's length and offensive rebounding will be the difference. It should be a close game. Hoping Nova can pull it off. -
Ironman92Glad Roy quoted Marty Schottenheimer....now hopefully he imitates him on Monday.

What? The rims in these 2 games had the softest bounces I've ever seen. There were 4 or the shots that were from behind the Ark that bounced 3 times and went in.Classyposter58;1789971 wrote:I will say I think it's more the rims than the depth perception. Carolina got pretty fortunate after beating Indiana to draw Notre Dame and Syracuse in the next two rounds, but if they win a title, they will certainly have earned it after beating Villanova. Nova, as you said, has looked like a champion throughout the entire tournament. They have destroyed everyone, with the exception of Kansas, but the win against the Jayhawks was just as impressive.Ironman92;1789981 wrote:Well, the two best teams of the tournament will play for the championship. Carolina should have a size advantage, which could lead to success on the offensive glass, but Nova has a lot of versatile, athletic wing players that could really give the Heels problems. The Nova defense, as a whole, is outstanding. If Carolina isn't making some shots, they could be in trouble. Should be a great game in my opinion.
North Carolina is 5-1 against Villanova in the NCAA Tournament, the lone loss coming during Nova's 1985 title run. The last two national title runs for Carolina have included a Sweet 16 victory over Nova in 2005, a Final Four victory in 2009, and now they'll face them in the title game. A little bit of history that bodes well for both teams, I suppose. -

Hopefully, UNC is as focused Monday as I 02 while typing that post [emoji41]ironman02;1789997 wrote:Carolina got pretty fortunate after beating Indiana to draw Notre Dame and Syracuse in the next two rounds, but if they win a title, they will certainly have earned it after beating Villanova. Yeah that's why the scoring wasn't bad in this final four. Most of them however have been awfulMidstate01;1789986 wrote:What? The rims in these 2 games had the softest bounces I've ever seen. There were 4 or the shots that were from behind the Ark that bounced 3 times and went in.

wildcats20Well Buddy wins the Naismith Award. I guess that's a little consolation after laying a ginormous egg last night.

Ironman92How was that not a charge on Paige? How was he late?
-
superman
It was a make up for the 8 Nova fouls they've not called.Ironman92;1790286 wrote:How was that not a charge on Paige? How was he late? -
Ironman92Those two ticky tack calls on UNC just suck.
-
ironman02
I'm assuming because Paige had already left his feet.Ironman92;1790286 wrote:How was that not a charge on Paige? How was he late?
The last two calls more than made up for it though. -
Ironman92
His foot was still on the ground when he moved in and set up. Then Jenkins compounded it with an idiotic foul soon thereafter.ironman02;1790290 wrote:I'm assuming because Paige had already left his feet.
