He is one of the main guys I can't believe is listed as a forward. I'm sure like many of you I would have taken him a long time ago if they had him as a center.

    Anthony Drmic, G/F, Boise State

Probably would've been my 1st pick. 2nd for sure lol.

Yeah, I don't get how 7'0+ guys are forwards and 6'8 guys are centers. It's too late this year, but Fantrax actually allows you to edit position eligibility. Unlike baseball, where players do have defined listings on lineups to project where they play, basketball is just subjective. I'm not even sure how Fantrax decides it. One of my other leagues goes by the school's official roster or a listing of any publication website (ESPN, CBS, ROTO, YAHOO, etc) having a guy as a center, you can edit the player to play there.

Azu it's only 12/18 you have Frank Mason III listed as a wildcard.

He's on a damn blue blood! C'mon buike!
  • Azubuike24
Yeah, how the hell did I do that. I guess deep down, I must've been thinking he is Nadir Thaarpe.
  • Azubuike24
Haha. Fuck editing that list anyway.

I forget how this worked last year. If I draft a player and he never plays, can I replace him with any other undrafted player? And if he does play, but is suspended from the team at some point during the season, can I replace him with an equal or lesser player at no cost to me?
  • Azubuike24
You get 3 subs. You can replace a guy within 5% of his production. So, in-theory, you could sub a guy before the season even starts. The key with the limited subs being that timing will matter. However, given the limited number, it's probably wise to consider eligibility as if he is drafted and never plays, he would cost a sub to replace. The most notable guys probably being Chieck Diallo or Dyshawn Pierre.

I'm not sure how we would treat Diallo since he has no stats. Pierre we would just use his prior stats? Good question. Probably should address it. Personally, I don't really care, but technically, by the rule, a sub would also have to be a guy with no stats to keep the integrity of the 5% rule.

You expecting some sanctions to Kentucky this year?

    Haha
  • Mulva
    Maybe he's eying Cheick.
  • Azubuike24
I think Pierre is actually more likely. Who knows. If he wasn't suspended, he's about ripe to be picked now.
  • Laley23
I think we decided a guy suspended (believe it was TaShawn Taylor with Oklahoma last year) was a risk because once the season starts and people have stats, you have to replace him (if he is declared ineligible) with someone who hasn't played to fulfill the 5% rule (suspended himself, injured but coming back, etc). So your options become severely limited. I think Mulva made the plunge last year, and it was fine because Taylor was cleared before the draft ended...

I think Tashawn got cleared the day before their first game last year.
  • Azubuike24
That's fair. So if you draft a Freshman or a guy who isn't eligible, and he can't play, it's your risk to take.

Yep. And I had a guy (wild card...smfh), who ended up not starting and playing 14, 12, 7 minutes in first 3 games. So, I dropped him and basically had to take someone who hadn't played yet. I went Troy williams who was suspended for first 2 games.

And Joe Young I think was cleared like 2 picks after I selected lol. S&L scooped him up.
