Who do you want at QB for Ohio State?
-
dwccrewJT Barrett, Cardale Jones or other?
-
slingshot4everSame answer from the summer, JT Barrett
-
SportsAndLadyCardale Jones won us one, he can win us another one.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion and I am not saying whether you are right or wrong; however, IMO, I am not sure I would say Cardale Jones "won us one" so much as he filled in and was able to perform enough. IMO, Ezekial Elliot and the offensive line won the title for OSU. I think it is also fair to say that JT Barrett put us in position to get to the playoffs. Could Cardale have performed during a full season schedule? So far it's still up in the air. Could JT have performed in the playoffs? We do not know and may not ever know.SportsAndLady;1755117 wrote:Cardale Jones won us one, he can win us another one.
My thought is that the offensive scheme that Ohio State runs is more tailored for a QB with Barrett's skill set. He has not looked spectacular in his series he has had so far, but he hasn't been given a chance to get into a rhythm either.
It also seems like this offense is not quite suited for Cardale's skill set and that they need to either adapt a scheme more suited for him or put JT in. I'm not sure one is better than the other, it's all about what type of offense you want to run and what QB best fits that offense. JMO
That being said, I don't have 1/100th of Urban Meyer's football knowledge, so I defer to his decision. -
robj55More concerned about the play calling and offensive line play. Either QB can win the title for us.
-
sleeperI think Cardale is the better QB although I'm still fine with either him or JT.
I do not blame our current offensive woes on him. It's the OC and playcalling #1 and then the O-line seems to be just walking through the motions. -
Ironman92Cardale for me.
-
IggyPride00We have all seen more than enough of Carfale at this point. He is costing himself millions with every quarter Urb leaves him out there for.
Put JT back in the game. -

I might feel different if JT came in and lit it up when he had the chance, but he sucked. -

Yeah I wonder if the JT fans didn't watch him play this year because he was absolute garbage. Again, I don't blame him for that necessarily but clearly Urban left the door open for JT and JT didn't grab it.Automatik;1755147 wrote:This.

AutomatikThat's why I don't get the hating on Cardale. I saw the article on 11W about the people going at him on Twitter. Fucking idiots.

Too many people overreact and say dumb shit it's almost unbearable. But that's how it goes. -
FatHobbitCardale hasn't been the problem. I'd stick with Cardale but I'm a fan of JT also.

Spockthe offense they are trying to run right now......JT all day.
THe play calling we had late last year.......CJ -

0311sdpIf he were healthy Braxton Miller, they sure don't utilize him and Curtis Samuel now. 5 games of Cardale is enough, I don't think that he will get back to the level he played at for 3 games last year. JT deserves a chance, and I hope he get's it soon, but I would love to see Braxton Miller running this offense. (or even Joey Burrows or Gibson) pretty much anyone but Jones.

Or Urban is being stubborn about changing his mind. JT hasn't been any worse than Cardale this year, and proved over 12 games last year (not 3 with an improved O line and RB going for 200+ each time) what he can do for this team.sleeper;1755150 wrote:Yeah I wonder if the JT fans didn't watch him play this year because he was absolute garbage. You're super smart. -
AutomatikCall me crazy, but I'm going to trust Urban. Considering he has 3 titles and sees the QBs firsthand every fucking day.

Nah man, he's stubborn.Automatik;1755541 wrote:Call me crazy, but I'm going to trust Urban. Considering he has 3 titles and sees the QBs firsthand every fucking day.
He spent the whole summer evaluating our QBs, went with Cardale, and now he's been proven wrong but is too stubborn to make the switch to JT.
Yeah. -
slingshot4everIf he really thought Cardale was clearly better JT wouldn't have set foot on the field this season. Naive prick.
-
AutomatikHe said himself that Cardale edged him out. He took all the snaps when JT was out, so I don't see why that's so hard to believe.
When the offense was meh he put JT in and he also sucked. It's not about who he thinks is clearly better. I's about playing shitbum teams and trying to figure it out moving forward while he has the opportunity. -
