Seems like there should be more...

    SEC!
    SEC!
    SEC!

ESPN is in FULL SEC hard-on mode as of late. From Sports Center, to their announcers (looking at you Fowler), to everything. Yawn.

    Yawn.

The SEC could have 14 teams in the top 15 as long as OSU is #1. The reality is, OSU is winning the championship again this year regardless if the SEC Champion is 12-0 against all ranked teams.

Good to see Mississippi State popping in at #25.

I expect them to jump to 10-12 after their loss to LSU this week.

Anyone below #4 is an AYO.

Isn't the ap poll an ayo?
  • Lovejoy1984
Now when they all beat each other, the won't drop that far in the polls, even though 3 or 4 of them will finish the season with 4 or more losses they will still be ranked in the top 20.

    AYO?
  • queencitybuckeye
    All you others.

Auburn is going to drop dramatically over the season. Tennessee, Mizzou, and Arkansas won't be ranked for that long.
  • robj55
Over hyped just like last year
  • Tiernan
I guess most of you dipsticks haven't heard yet...they got this new thing called The CFB Playoffs which make the old AP and Coaches polls absolutely worthless to anything below the Top 4. And right now I see only one SEC team in that elite group. Polls and Bowls (other than the Playoff spots) will become extinct as soon as they expand to 8 teams.

    Arkansas will go up.
    Tennessee will drop.
    Missouri will drop.
    Texas A&M will rise.
    LSU will rise.
    Auburn will drop.
    Alabama will drop.

SEC could legitimately have 13 of the top 50 teams, but who cares? Only the winner of the conference has a shot at the playoff. This new system makes rankings almost irrelevant. The rankings will start to reflect what the playoff "should be" after the last championship games. If a specific 4 teams start to get momentum, guarantee they will be the top 4 when the final rankings come out.

3 out for 4 correct so far.

This thread was an interesting factoid, but nothing else. Nowaday, all that matters is whom a group of people decides are in the top 4. These polls are basically irrelevant for any purpose other than getting people fired up about public perception of their team/conference.
  • Spock
Just take the damn conference champs and have a playoff.
  • Tiernan
Worst team in the ACC giving the best team in the SEC all they can handle right now. It won't last but it's fun to see LSU struggle anytime.

None of Ole Miss, Georgia or LSU are playing Wake Forest, Virginia or Louisville.
  • bigkahuna
You're telling me Virgina, L'Ville and WF are all better than Syracuse.

Louisville yes definitely. Virginia is probably better but its close. Wake Forest is definitely not better than Cuse (I mean they already lost to Cuse lol).
