  I'd be willing to bet Mark Ingram will not even get invited to NYC. Not because he isn't really good or because I'm an SEC/Alabama hater, but Trent Richardson is going to see his workload increase next year. Also, to win it twice you need to go way above and beyond what you did to win it the first time.
  
  If I had to pick right now I'd say Lamichael James. To win the Heisman you need to be on a really good, usually top 5 team as well as play in an offense that will lean on you a lot. James should be able to put up a bunch of all purpose yards on a preseason top 5, at the very least top 10 team.

  No doubt Archie's stats weren't as sexy as the first time, but you can probably say it was a "career" award his 2nd time, but he did close out some top teams with a few BIG games...
  

  Looking back, Griffin pretty much wrapped up the Heisman race by mid-October. He went over 100 yards in an opening win over No. 11 Michigan State, then rushed for 128 yards in a 17-9 win over No. 7 Penn State in game two. A couple weeks later, he galloped for 160 in a 41-20 romp over No. 13 UCLA . By game four, the Heisman was his to lose.
  At that point, Ohio State was elevated to the No. 1 spot in the polls and then proceeded to slice through the rest of its regular season schedule, winning by an average score of 38-6.
  On the eve of the Heisman vote, Griffin’s stats looked like this:

  How about this for a dark horse: Zach Collaros. If he has a super season and Cincinnati goes undefeated again, he might just pull it out.

  John Clay - Top RB in the Big 10, needs to perform better in big games next year
  Mark Ingram - was the best among a pretty weak heisman group this yr, not sure if thats gonna happen next yr.
  Matt Barkley - Starting QB for USC will have good numbers and they should get back to their winning way
  Terrelle Pryor - only if he is throwing it like he did against Oregon, he wont have a realistic shot if they go back to only throwing 17 times a game.

We only have 1 2-time Heisman winner, and I don't see it ever happening again unless some extreme talent tears it up for a big time program his freshman year, and then has 2 great seasons the following years. Either way, Ingram is a good player, but is he good enough to go down in college football history as a 2-time Heisman winner? Hell no.

  The kid is good. And the only reason I don't see him going down as to two-time winner would be injury or T-Rich taking on a larger load.

  It all depends what the records are. If OSU is undefeated Pryor wins. If bama is undefeated Ingram will probably win. Barkley from USC could win if they are undefeated. We will see people pop up and fade based on who is in the top five in the polls and both OSU and Bama should start out there next year. Gerhart and Spiller had amazing seaons and yet did not win because their teams were not good enough. I am more curious as to how to the SEC project in talent next year and what Bama loses, that will go a long way in determining the heisman.

  I don't think that it's you have to go way above and beyond, you can't have a major letdown game on the big stage to win it a second year. There is always a "controversy" on who should have won the previous year's Heisman. When the Heisman winner slips up, the voters go "oh yeah, maybe the criticism is right, time to move on to the next guy". THAT is why it's so hard to win a 2nd Heisman, not because you have to player better, but you have to play PERFECT.

  LOL at all you Pryor haters. Tell me a team that had a tougher 4 game stretch to end the season thank the Bucks? Yes i know michigan isnt that good but they still brought their game.

  I'm not a Pryor hater, but he didn't really do much in three of those four games.

  Ohio state won in spite of pryor. the kid has talent sure but he is not a qb and was a below average qb this year. there is no way in hell he wins the heisman next year. if he does ill give everyone one here 100 dollars

  I agree with you, but unfortunately the only people that will give Zach a chance will be from Steubenville, or students, fans, and alumni of Cincinnati.
  
  If he plays next year like he played this past year, his numbers (both rushing and passing) will be crazy! And if they go undefeated, having teams like Fresno St, New Mexico Bowl qualifiers and Oklahoma, winners of the Sun Bowl on their schedule next year will will only help his chances.
  
  None the less, next year will be very interesting for Big Red fans when it comes to the Big East!
