Sharriff Floyd 2010 DT
-
OneBuckeyeWill ohio state finally land a big time 300lb DT recruit? I think things are looking up and he will announce at the AA game. What is everyone hearing on him?
-
QuintSouth Carolina insiders are saying OSU is the favorite.
-
newarkcatholicfanLet's hope so.
-
OneBuckeyeThings are looking good say the insiders on buckeyeplanet.
-
QuintDoes anyone know how many scholarship spots we have left? I was under the assumption that we only had about 17 for this season. . . and it seems we only have about 3 or 4 spots still open.
-
OneBuckeye^ Scholarships are still up in the air because Willy Mobley left so that freed one up. Keith Wells has been rumored as a possible transfer (I don't think he will though). Chad Hagen a current commit has been looking around supposidly. James Louis a current commit is being recruited very hard by Florida. And who know what other attrition we may have on the team. We will be able to fit in the big studs that are left on the board one way or another.

stroupsIt would be nice but I won't hold my breath

Good article on floyd... I especially like the first paragraph.
As Sharrif Floyd ambles into the gym at George Washington High in northeast Philadelphia, his teammates are already well into their stretching. At 6-3 and 315 pounds, wearing a backward Ohio State cap, Floyd looks every bit the gentle giant. -
QuintThis puts a smile on my face. Hopefully he isn't doing it for show so he can make a spectacle out of his announcement on Jan. 9.
-
darbypitcher22If he signs the first thing he needs to do is drop a few lbs unless that's a solid 315, which I doubt. We've got nobody close to that weight right now and we're not in the 3-4 so no need for a sloppy 2 gap noseguard.
-
Quint
He looks like he has a little bit of a gut. . .but overall he looks like he carries the 315 lbs pretty well. Article says he benches 400lbs and squats 600 lbs. -
devil1197Yeah he looks good with that much weight.
Hopefully we can land him. That would be a very good pair with Simon and Floyd. -
112in84It sure would nice if osu could land this guy.
-
darbypitcher22I hope he can run and his quick off the ball
-
QuintScout.com has his strengths listed as explosion and quickness off the ball.

Link to an article about Floyd's latest game. I like the last line the best.
Word coming out of Philadelphia is that Floyd will be committing to Ohio State. -

SageI am down with anybody with the name "Sharriff" but only if it's pronounced Sheriff and not SHAR-EEF. Trust me, this will make a difference.
-
TinkertrainOhio State got themselves a good one with this kid.
-
newarkcatholicfanGood to see the BUCKEYES get this young man.
Hopefully he will be a great one.
