Best Big 10 Player of last 50 years
-
Classyposter58Buddy saw Jim Jackson at the movies and then a huge thing exploded on Facebook about who the best big ten player ever is. Magic is obviously up there but I'm going Glenn Robinson

SpockRobinson, Magic, Jimmy are all top 5-7. Indiana and Michigan could have 2-3 players apiece in there depending on your opinion.

TiernanJohn Havlichek woulda had those turds for lunch.

Laley23Depends on college or pro.
If talking college only, Calbert Cheaney, Scott May and Kent Benson all probably make top 10 (or higher). But they all sucked, relatively, in the pros. -

This. I got to meet Havlicek once. We played his alma mater the night they were dedicating their brand new gym to him. It was pretty cool.Tiernan;1689488 wrote:John Havlichek woulda had those turds for lunch. -

centralbucksfanHow about Jerry Lucas? Three time 1st team all American, could only play 3yrs back then btw. Avg. 26p 16rb, 24p-17rb , 21p-17rb pts. Three final fours and a national title.
Not old enough to see him play. But seeing highlights and others talk of him..has to be near top or maybe THE best all time.
As far as who I saw...I'd say Jim Jackson as well as Magic. -

Yeah he would be great expect the thread is for the last 50 years. Lucas last season was the 1961-1962 season which is 53 years ago. Definitely if we got back futher than 50 years I'd say he is #1.centralbucksfan;1690825 wrote:How about Jerry Lucas? Three time 1st team all American, could only play 3yrs back then btw.
