I'm cheating and only predicting the Buckeye game.

I see Cardale going for 300 yards of total offense, 4 TDs (3 Passing), and Buckeyes Winning 48-24

Cheating as well. OSU loses. IF it were against a diff team I would probably give OSU the nod, but I think the bucks have a tough time stopping the Wisc running game and they control the clock and that doesnt give the OSU offense enough flow to score much.

and one of the top 4 lose this weekend.

Ohio State by more than 1..

I have 0 doubt that Zona would be in if that scenario played out.
  • Mulva
I'll take Tech in the upset, even though FSU is apparently unkillable.

Oregon wins, but Zona might keep it close.

Tough for me to see Mizzou putting up a fight. They only played 1 of the top 6 teams in the SEC, and lost 34-0.

No idea on OSU/Wisky. Cardale is too much of an unknown.
  • FatHobbit
I think the first team to 40 wins the OSU game. Our defense is average at best, so we'll need to outscore Wisconsin. If we have a bunch of 3 and outs and give up some big plays as we have been prone to do, then it could get ugly.

I'd be shocked if 26 points beats Baylor...but like I said, something will shock us

    1. Oregon vs Arizona: Oregon and the points...45-28
    2. TCU vs Iowa St: TCU and the points: 56-17
    3. Alabama vs Missouri: Bama and the points: 35-17
    4. Florida St vs Georgia Tech: FSU, but GT covers: 35-32 FSU
    5. Kansas St @ Baylor: KState in the upset. 35-32
    6. Ohio St vs Wisconsin: Pure emotion: OSU 35, Wisconsin 30

I do think if this happens, OSU jumps in the final four over TCU to play Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
  • Heretic
    1. Arizona 34, Oregon 31
    2. TCU 55, Shit 13
    3. Alabama 41, Missouri 17

    5. Baylor 34, KSU 24
    6. OSU 27, Wisc 21 (heart) or Wisc 38, OSU 21 (head)
  • Iliketurtles

Of these 6 games, rank your "upsets" in terms of their likelihood:

    1. Georgia Tech
    2. Wisconsin
    3. Kansas State
    4. Arizona
    5. Missouri
    6. Iowa State

I might switch 3 and 4 based on Arizona beating Oregon earlier. I might switch 1 and 2 based on Ohio State going with a QB who's never played any truly meaningful college snaps (I mean, Barrett didn't immediately switch on "god-mode" when he became the starter...it's hard for me to believe Cardale's jumping in and kicking ass to the degree OSU's swiss cheese rush defense will be greatly off the hook).

But those are "mights" I'd have to think about. That's pretty accurate, I'd say.

The reason I have 1 and 2 where they are... OSU has shown to be dominant at times this year, showing us the team they are capable of being (regardless of QB). FSU has skated by the skin of their teeth and barely won almost all season. Given GT's big win (for them against SEC rival) last week, I think their potential to pull the FSU upset is greater, even if the odds of both upsets are high.

I think, if Cardale can be at least a bit above adequate, it could help the Bucks. It seems to me (taken with a grain of salt, I'm usually drunj when watching OSU games) that with Barrett, they were the definition of a quick-strike offense where they'd either drive quickly and score or go three-and-out. Either way leaves the defense on the field a lot. With Gordon coming up, I don't want the defense on the field a lot. I'd rather have a more slow-paced offense that eats up a lot of minutes.

Like you basically said, there are a lot of factors. I think the main thing that makes it tough to go 1-2 is that Ohio State is in such a "boom/bust" scenario. If things work out well, all will be good. But if they don't, tomorrow has the potential to be ugly as fuck. While with GT-FSU, I'm expecting a close game where the question will be if Winston can pull out another second-half "oh...he does know what he's doing after all" performance like he seems to do about every game now. Throw 3 picks early on and then kick ass down the stretch.

One of the top 4 will lose. Book it!
  • FatHobbit
If osu beats Wisconsin, I'm going to buy myself an iPad.
  • FatHobbit
Wow, I just looked at Wisconsin's schedule and they played complete crap run defenses. In the B1G they played the 8th, 14th, 12th, 13th, 11th, 9th, 6th and 7th ranked run defense. I knew the east was stacked with good teams but I didn't realize how few good teams Wisconsin played. I still expect Gordon to get some yards and have a few big plays but I feel a lot better about our chances now.

OK... Upset of the top 6. I didn't think it was that hard to comprehend. Thanks for clarifying...
