Top 5 Wins of the Season?

  • ernest_t_bass
If you read the CFB Forum and threads, then you know that no one has beat anyone of quality, b/c even if the team beaten is ranked, they suck anyway. PMoney has a good/funny point.

So, in your OPINIONS, what are the top 5 (or more if you wish) wins of the 2014 CFB season? What team, and who did they beat?

    Reading is hard.

What are the top five WINS of this season? Not the top five teams. WINS.

This is without much thought put into it.
    1. Ole Miss over Bama
    2. Arizona over Oregon
    3. Vtech over OSU
    4. Bama over MSU
    5. Baylor over TCU

I think Indiana over Missouri could get a nod at this list as well. Not that the win itself was great, as no great teams were involved, but it has a B1G bottom feeder defeating the SEC East frontrunner. Some huge points in the B1G's favor.

    1 OSU over Sparty
    2 Bama over MSU
    3 Arizona St. over ND
    4 Ole Miss over Bama

Wins irrelevant. Teams relevant. Ohio State, if put in the playoff, will win the title this year. I will bet the Benz on it.

    Just answer the damn question.

Do I get an ipad if they make it and don't win it all?

Just curious why OSU vs Sparty and not Oregon? Maybe because Oregon was favored?

    Honestly, I didn't even think about Oregon/Sparty.

But it could be added for sure.

Oregon was favored, and the game was @ Oregon.

OSU over Sparty definitely saved their season, and vaulted them up into the discussion, leading to JT Barrett's dominating performance over Minny to vaulted them to the actual consideration.

    Ole Miss over Bama
    Bama over MSU
    Bucks over Sparty
    Indiana over Mizzou
    Arizona over Oregon
    .........................
Baylor over TCU (which leads to TCU being ranked above Baylor in polls???!?)
    Arizona State over ND
    FSU over ND

    OSU over MSU #1
    Alabama over MSU #2
    Oregon over MSU #3

Really the only 3 games that matter so far this year. FSU hasn't played anyone and is terrible. There's a reason they are undefeated and reigning champions at not #1. I hope OSU plays FSU week 1 of the playoffs; free win.

    Florida State over ND
    Florida State over Clemson
    Florida State over Miami
    Florida State over Louisville
    Florida State over Oklahoma State

I was going to put Marshall in there some were but just couldn't find a win any better than these.

He said top 5 wins; not top 5 cupcakes that FSU has every year.

Fact. Vtech has more BCS wins than FSU! Enjoy rooting for a rapist!

Lol you're really starting to get off your game. Not surprised you are wrong again. VT is 1-6 in BCS bowls. FSU is 3-5. I know you went to Ohio State but 3 is greater than 1. FSU is also 1-0 against VT in BCS bowl games.

As for a serious list I'd go

    Virginia Tech over Ohio State
    Ole Miss over Alabama
    West Virginia over Baylor
    Arizona over Oregon
    Florida over Georgia

All of the teams that lost would probably make the playoffs if they won the rest of their games this season. It's really crazy how they lost to such inferior teams.

    1) V Tech over OSU
    2) Arizona over Oregon
    3) OSU over MSU
    4) UCLA over ASU
5a) Bama over MSU (if Bama loses, they're out of contention; if they win, they control their destiny---ultimate zero sum scenario)
    5b) WVU over Baylor
  • Ironman92
The playing at home factor is very big....some of these aren't quite as great because of that.

The same could almost be said of TCU's win over WVU....after trailing the whole game, a FG as time expired gives them the win to keep them on the bubble.

Agree. That's why my top 4 are all road games.
