OSU-ND series rumored to be in the works from 2019-2022

Just thought I'd leave this here...
  • Fab1b
Sweet these IMO are two teams that should play yearly or at least often!
  • athlete37
Agreed. As a ND fan living in Columbus I would especially love to see this happen-- just would hope we don't get embarrassed

Sounds great, but would like it better if you could somehow substantiate this "rumor".
  • athlete37
I figured if the rumor was plausible enough to be put on 247 and 11 warriors that it was enough to post here. Sorry, that's all I've got Mr. P

    247 & 11W? Good enough for me!

I can't find anything anywhere about it, is it just on their message boards? Would be badass to have happen. If it does happen then 2019 and 2021 would be at Notre Dame and 2020 and 2022 would be in Columbus based on Ohio States current future match ups.

Certainly would be easier than playing Mac schools year in year out.

I'd love for this to happen. Could become a great rivalry. I'd still like to see a neutral site game thrown in there also. Somewhere like Lucas oil would be perfect

No neutral site though. I want to beat their ass in South Bend, then beat their ass in the Shoe. Then repeat.

Agree. Home and home is the only way it should be done.

    God no.
Home and Home. Dont rob the two places of the chance to host this game.

Lets also get ND in the B1G while we're at it. No reason a school in South Bend, Indiana is not in the Big 10

    that ship has sailed, man

At this point I would like the BIG10 setup better than the rotating ACC Schedule that doesn't let us play U of M or MSU anymore. Part of the reason ND never joined the BIG10 is because Michigan and a lot of the rest of the BIG Ten turned them down long ago (MSU played ND and that's part of why that was such a long standing relationship). Another reason was to be different than everyone else, but honestly Brian Kelly is making us the same as all of the other powers, just without the recent National Championships and BCS wins. We've not got turf, soon to be a jumbotron, have to play 5 games a year against ACC teams, and have made a bunch of other concessions, so maybe it is time to join the BIG 10..... Sigh

Why would OSU want to give this regional recruiting rival any kind of advantage? They were given multiple opportunities to join the B1G and the little potato eaters elected to go play 5 "exhibition" games in the ACC every year. If we meet up with the bastards in a bowl game that's one thing, but to allow them into the Shoe on a home & home is dumb.

Please stop calling ND a "power". They are not good.

Until Brian Kelly serves time for killing Brendan Sullivan OSU should have nothing to do with this renegade criminal program.

Nope but drunk as hell now at 1:00am and I still think ND is OVER...rated.

Good one. You're so awesome at this.

I just ask that if you are going to try to trash ND and Brian Kelly by using the accidental death of a kid, at least get the kid's name right. OK? OK.
  • Tiernan
Yeah you're right...my apologies to Declan's family...shoulda gone to Ohio State dude, you'd still be with us.

With the playoff, I'd rather OSU scheduled out of conference games with programs more certain to be a quality opponent than Notre Dame is year to year.
