Connor shaw is someone you wanna root for? Why the fuck should I wanna root for him lol
Why because he took a sky diving course and then said he wanted to get into some kind of special ops forces...because that's how you get into special ops...you mean you didn't know that!?! -

If you want to figure out who the best team is, that's the only way to do it. Putting restrictions on the number of teams from a conference that can make it into a playoff doesn't help to "determine it on the field" which was the go-to response for proponents of the playoffs. If the four best teams are from the SEC (or from the B1G, or from the Big 12) those are the teams that should make it, IMO.Fly4Fun;1560281 wrote:Ugh... announcer in Wisky/SC game just said 4 SEC teams in playoffs potentially. There should definitely be rules to prevent more than 2 teams from the same conference.
It happens in every sport that a division or a conference is loaded with talent, and teams that would have made it in had they been in a different division/conference are sitting at home while an inferior team makes it in over them because they enjoyed the benefit of a shittier division/conference. That doesn't help to determine it on the field. And I think anyone that has used that argument has to also support the possibility of 4 SEC teams in the playoffs. -
Zombaypirateany streams for the Rose bowl? Non-espn as I do not have cable.

TiernanTime for the Grandaddy of the all...Kyler Ellsworth will be immediately picked on by Stanford.

Most conferences figure out the best team in their conference through conference championship games. I can understand two, but no reason to have 4 teams from the same conference ever. Please don't try to defend a statement like that.sherm03;1560308 wrote:If you want to figure out who the best team is, that's the only way to do it. RotinajThere will NEVER EVER EVER EVER be 4 teams from the same conference in the playoffs. It's an absurd topic to even discuss.

I don't think there will ever be a time when you can argue that the top 4 teams from one conference are better than every other team in football. That is highly unlikely and probably would never happen. Therefore, I don't think anyone would have to worry about that scenario happening.Fly4Fun;1560319 wrote:Most conferences figure out the best team in their conference through conference championship games. But it's possible. And if the consensus top 4 were from one conference, those should be the ones in the playoffs. Put the 4 best teams in, regardless of conference. -
TiernanWell loss of Bullough immediately apparent in TGOTA. Sparty didn't even stop one play for no-gain on 77 yd drive.

Happened once in college hockey, Frozen Four full of all WCHA teams. That will never happen again in any sportRotinaj;1560324 wrote:There will NEVER EVER EVER EVER be 4 teams from the same conference in the playoffs. It's an absurd topic to even discuss. -

This. Chances of it ever happening? Pretty much zero, but in the extremely rare event that there was a legitimate case of a conference boasting all 4 of the best teams, there should be nothing prohibiting it.sherm03;1560325 wrote:I don't think there will ever be a time when you can argue that the top 4 teams from one conference are better than every other team in football.
