Based on what I know from a reliable person, Shazier is a great young man who thoroughly enjoys the college life. So I wouldn't be shocked by this.wildcats20;1552918 wrote:Ryan Shazier said today he is leaning toward staying. -
se-alumCan't remember which thread, but I posted about the possibility of Shazier staying, basically for the reasons CBF just mentioned, along with the fact that money isn't an issue, and his father obviously really values education.

Pick6his father seems like a great guy.
As for Braxton, dude needs to learn how to wrap it apparently. -
Pick6@FSOhioZJackson: Texted an NFL exec and asked some thoughts on Braxton Miller going to the NFL. Wrote back: "At what position?"
anybody really shocked? -

Not at all. Even with another year, I still think his chances at NFL success are slim.Pick6;1554925 wrote:@FSOhioZJackson: Texted an NFL exec and asked some thoughts on Braxton Miller going to the NFL. Wrote back: "At what position?"

BUT...I didn't think Russell Wilson would be anything special either. -

You should of. I don't know why people were not high on him, dude was crazy accurate in college and had cannon for an armAutomatik;1554926 wrote:Not at all. Even with another year, I still think his chances at NFL success are slim.

AutomatikI mean I watched him a decent amount, noticed he was solid.
But I sure as hell didn't see him being a starting QB as a rookie and bringing Seattle to where they currently are. -

Is this a serious statement?Classyposter58;1554932 wrote:You should of. I don't know why people were not high on him -
AutomatikWith the other highly touted QBs in last years draft...SILLY US for not being high on Wilson. ammirite?!
-
se-alumA buddy and fellow Browns fan went on and on before the draft last year about how the Browns should draft Russell Wilson pretty early. We gave him all kinds of hell. He wins.

Yeah lol I kid you not. I drafted him in the preseason last year as my QB, that's why I was able to win my leaguedlazz;1554936 wrote:Is this a serious statement? -

He only set the record for single season passer rating. Every major conference qb on the top 2 single season passer rating has started in the NFL*(Mccaron and Winston are in the top 20)Automatik;1554940 wrote:With the other highly touted QBs in last years draft...SILLY US for not being high on Wilson. ammirite?! -
centralbucksfanEveryone can speculate on Miller making it in the NFL as a QB. But bottom line is, nobody truly knows. The QB position is hit and miss at that level. For every high draft pick that didn't make it, there are as many low pics that ended up being solid to star NFL QB's. So many variables. Being in the right place at the right time can go a long way. Give a QB a solid offensive line, good RB, and WR's...they could excel. Put them with a bunch of crap surrounding them, no matter how good, they could look like shit. How good Wilson would be with another team, who really knows. He is obviously good. But he also went into a pretty good situation.

Ya, ok. Thanks for your two cents. That's about all its worth.ccrunner609;1555031 wrote:LOL, BM cant throw the ball worth a shit. He IS NOT an NFL QB. -

Insert the initials TP and I'll wager you said the same thing two years ago.ccrunner609;1555031 wrote:LOL, BM cant throw the ball worth a shit. He IS NOT an NFL QB. -

Well yea, this is true about every player that has or will be drafted.centralbucksfan;1555029 wrote:Everyone can speculate on Miller making it in the NFL as a QB. Cat Food Flambe'He's gone like Pam Anderson's cherry.
Were he to stay, I'd predict the odds on him re-injuring himself in 2014 at better than 50%. Take the money, and embrace your future as a 70th-percentile possession-down wideout in the NFL.
He's still make as much money in five years as I'll make in a lifetime. -

There's no guarantee the money will be there.Cat Food Flambe';1555075 wrote:He's gone like Pam Anderson's cherry.

Watched that kid in the playoffs. Has the tools that could develop, but not impressed. And he isn't in 8th grade. Just finishing his freshman year.Tiernan;1555225 wrote:If he goes how does Urbie get the 8th grade kid he just signed eligible?
