You're falling apart dude. Do what I did when I didn't know mike Sam and will, and just give up fighting your derp. It's only gonna make it worse.

Imploded? Nah, I'm quite enjoying watching you guys trip over yourselves trying to "pwn" me.

Our secondary development has been fucking terrible under him. However, I don't think the linebackers have been great the last few seasons, either.
I don't really think the secondary is a problem. The inability of the LB's to cover anyone in man or get the correct drops on zones is what is killing us. Doran Grant and Roby are two really good CB's, and Barnett is very solid. The LB corp is the weak link right now.

Especially weak when you are starting two second stringers, and I believe a third stringer was even in as well. There is gonna be a drop off.

Fair assessment, but I dont see many of the CBs or Safeties improving much (outside of Doran Grant). Roby has been bad. Armani Reeves and Pitt Brown have been terrible.

Roby being forced to play 9 yards off the receiver isn't helping him much. Armani Reeves should never see the field for OSU, and probably won't next year, when Burrows, Conley, and Apple have another year of experience, and Damon Webb gets on campus.

And Powell is more like a throwback to Tyler Moeller at the Star as the Nickel. Almost plays like a safety/linebacker hybrid. Reeves is probably the worst DB that sees the field. It seems as if Roby gets caught overthinking and trying to cover for the other guy's screw ups. He also hasn't really been able to get any consistency. Suspension, bye week, ejection, bye week hasn't helped him get a rhythmn either.

Supposedly that is a Wither's thing. He wants his guys to sit back in zone and get INT's. I know going back into the Heacock days they have always played a bit off the receiver, but this whole "sit and wait" strategy is annoying.

I remember Dustin Fox playing 10-15 yds off the receiver. Never gave up the big play, but gave up 6-8 yards passes consistently.

Interesting take, but I just don't see it...and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

After watching an inconsistant defense, and a defense that is prone to giving up way too many big plays, I can honestly say I have more of an appreciation for Heacock and what he did while at OSU as defensive coordinator.
