sleeperGet ready to see 4 SEC teams in the playoffs every year.
-
vball10setI hope Willingham can pull himself away from the golf course long enough to evaluate teams

If not, I hope they replace him with Charlie Weis so the committee will have a decided schematic advantage over the basketball selection committee.vball10set;1517815 wrote:I hope Willingham can pull himself away from the golf course long enough to evaluate teams  -
Azubuike24My question is, why are there current employees of certain schools on the committee? I mean sure, everyone has their allegiances, but why people directly employed by a school?

To be fair, don't they do the same with the NCAA March Madness Selection Committee?Azubuike24;1517867 wrote:My question is, why are there current employees of certain schools on the committee? I mean sure, everyone has their allegiances, but why people directly employed by a school? -

They do, and they leave the room when their school is being discussed.Fly4Fun;1517909 wrote:To be fair, don't they do the same with the NCAA March Madness Selection Committee?
And my biggest takeaway is Ohio State could be fucked if they are borderline. -

Both her and the LT. Gen dude are kind of headscratchers of the "okay, they both excelled in their given fields...but what the fuck does this have to do with being on ANY sort of football related committee?" sort of thing.Pick6;1517895 wrote:this.

TiernanHTF is Willingham on this committee? Is it because he's the same color as the POTUS?

Nah that's why Condi made the list.Tiernan;1518018 wrote:HTF is Willingham on this committee? Is it because he's the same color as the POTUS? -
TiernanNah Condi made it because she blew Bush.

They do, but there's also a lot less of an incentive to include your school or even a school in your conference. It's still important to be objective, but that's also 68 teams vs 4 teams, and while the prize for WINNING IT in basketball is huge, the prize for just making it in this Final Four is monumental.Fly4Fun;1517909 wrote:To be fair, don't they do the same with the NCAA March Madness Selection Committee? -
#1DBagI want to mess up Condoleezza's hair.

stlouiedipalmaCondi Rice? I'm sure she is in her man cave right this minute pouring over game tapes. Give me a break.

Mohican00I like how a former Secretary of State (and Browns fan - kudos) could not possibly be qualified for the playoff selection committee.
this just reeks of sexism, racism, and complete disillusionment of OC members. The norm -

no racism or sexism.I dont care if she's a woman or black..just fail to see how she is qualified for the committeeMohican00;1518591 wrote:I like how a former Secretary of State (and Browns fan - kudos) could not possibly be qualified for the playoff selection committee.

not sure what kind of qualifications are less deserving -

given her overall qualifications......why couldn't she know anything about cfb? She's not biased (i.e. Barry Alvarez or Jeff Long) and given her intelligence would be able to make a quality opinion. What is there to discredit? This seems like a win-win situationPick6;1518608 wrote:Wasnt aware that meant she knows anything about college football -
ernest_t_bassLOL @ Condoleezza Rice
-
Fly4FunI vote we replace Condoleezza Rice with Holly Mangold!
Now that's a woman we can all get behind. -

She's a huge Stanford fan. I don't have a problem with her being on the committee but I wish they would have included more former players instead of has been politicians.Mohican00;1518629 wrote:given her overall qualifications......why couldn't she know anything about cfb? I don't really have a problem with any of them. All I care about is that they actually watch the games and do their job.
