Court Rules against Reggie Bush arbitration bid
-
centralbucksfanBig news for NCAA I would assume. Now all will be public record, USC and Bush will now be exposed. Bush wanted to keep this a "confidential" arbitration. Hmmm, wonder why?

darbypitcher22USC is fucked
-
ytownfootballThis has been a looong time coming.
But it ain't news 'till ESPN jumps on board. -
BCSbunkIf USC knew what was going on they need hammered in a big way.
-
Fab1bWe shall see if ESPN even jumps on this.
-
wildcats20Probably exactly the same thing SI's article said, but here is ESPN's.

darbypitcher22Wonder if this will be covered on sportscenter
-
darbypitcher22Dude, you can bet half their team was getting funds... why you think so many guys kept signing on to go to USC?
-
jordo212000Freehuddle was the 1st and only place I have heard about this. Hopefully ESPN gives it the attention it deserves. (They haven't so far)
-
darbypitcher22Of course they won't. They love Pete and the Trojans
-
Mr PatStill can't see the NCAA doing anything to USC. Not only does USC own the police, they own the NCAA.
-
darbypitcher22not saying they will, but they should. the NCAA is all about a fair playing field and everybody playing by the rules and USC doesn't
-
sleeperNow that USC had a down year, we could finally see the NCAA throwing the hammer down.
Or maybe not. =/ -
sjmvsfscs08So Notre Dame might actually win some games against Southern California via forfeit?! Alright.
-
hoops23USC will have to forfeit their Emerald Bowl win, but everything is is intact
-
superman
Would those wins improve Charlie's record enough to get him out of having the worst winning percentage at ND?sjmvsfscs08 wrote: So Notre Dame might actually win some games against Southern California via forfeit?! Alright. -

Because it's in Southern California? And Pete Carroll is a fun coach? And because he sends his guys to the NFL?darbypitcher22 wrote: Dude, you can bet half their team was getting funds... why you think so many guys kept signing on to go to USC?
Now I'm not saying he isn't doing anything illegal, but there are plenty of simple reasons to explain why guys want to play at USC. -
centralbucksfanMy view of Pete Carrol...the guy is obviously a great college coach. He can recruit, and he motivates like no other in big games. Although he still gets a yearly HUGE upset that is very unexplainable.
And, I am not sure I would point the finger directly at him for the cheating that is going on at USC as far as him doing it. I am not sure he is directly involved. BUT, I can see him turning a blind eye (kind of like John Wooden). Its obviously his program, and he should be held responsible for what goes on though.
But when you look at the entire USC situation with Bush, and most recently in basketball with Mayo...the university as a whole REEKS of cheating across the board. If the NCAA finds anything at all with both programs, they NEED to come down hard and send a message.
This will get interesting. I think this case is what the NCAA has been waiting on. Add in the recent issue with McKnight, and this only adds to what is going on at USC. -
darbypitcher22They better be forfeiting more than just the Emerald Bowl if all this comes down

The NCAA will be so upset over USC's behavior, they'll invoke the death penalty on SMU again.Mr Pat wrote: Still can't see the NCAA doing anything to USC. Not only does USC own the police, they own the NCAA. -
thedynasty1998The thing with USC, and I know that it's not the only school with these problems is that it has all these agents in LA and with the lifestyle of Southern Cal it's probably more relevant and easier to get away with than most other places.
It would be hard to keep some of the things that go on in Southern Cal as quiet here in Columbus. Columbus isn't nearly as big. You don't have the same lifestyle. And you don't have as much money overall. -

vball10setI can't wait to hear what Herbie has to say on this--he's a big Petey fan,so I wonder if he'll be as candid about this as he was about the play of OSU's Oline earlier in the season(and justifiably so!!!)
