    there was speculation the last couple weeks that both of them are gone. if we could land Riley, Jones, or james/ henderson it will still be a pretty good class.

    some good news is Jeremy Ioane is down to Washington and ND and is expected to commit to the irish soon. the kid can flat out hit!

    in a sense, notre dame "sells itself", but it certainly is not like it used to be...
    I'm not worried about these defections, it's bound to happen when you change coaches.

    ND is pretty set on offense if Crist comes through his injury (which by all accounts he's ahead of schedule) the offense should be just fine and the defense can't get much worse. In fact, new DC Diaco sounds like a God send, a real communicator and he has way more to work with at ND than he did at UC. Cautios optimism, I like how Kelly has entered ND and conducted himself, it's a far cry from Weis' hiring.

    A top 25 class would be a win at this point with the coaching changes, etc. Defections were bound to occur, hopefully Kelly can glue the rest of this class together by signing day.

    Again, Kelly can escape future failures of this year's recruiting class if he can develop what he inherited from Weis. Weis' downfall was not getting these guys to play to their potential and Kelly keeps saying and using the word "development". We will see.

    This was on ESPN rumors today:

    "Meanwhile, his dad also hinted that Henderson wants to be a student-athlete -- not just an athlete who has to go to class. The final visit Henderson will make is Notre Dame, so some are speculating that he's favoring the Irish. He's also considering Miami."

    There is also a tweet on Dan Scofield's Twitter saying, "Notre Dame will have the last word with Seantrel Henderson on Friday."

    Scofield is from Bleacker Report, hardly a credible source. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Henderson to be Irish, but I'm not holding my breathe.

    Is it wrong I'm an Ohio State student, yet want Henderson to choose Notre Dame over the Buckeyes? :s If only Notre Dame had a City and Regional Planning major hahaha

    yeah, obviously one needs to be skeptical of anything that comes from the bleacher report. that is why i said said take it fwiw :] but the espn news is somewhat promising...

    i also went to ohio state and id have no problem if they landed sentrel henderson, but i would prefer he go to ND of course. :]

    my sources inside the SID have confirmed that 4**** ATH danny spond and anthony roback both have verbally committed.

    expect an announcement within the next couple days :)

    Good thing ND is implementing the training table for the football team. Hopefully we won't see players losing on average 12 pounds during the season...
