Anyone going to Northwestern?

  • slcoach
I know that the Bucks have a huge game coming up this weekend, but I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone was making the trip next week. We are bringing a group up and I was wondering what everyone had planned for the pregame festivities.

Ill most likely be going. Tickets are a little pricey right now but I'll try and snag one before the game starts

I am seeing some good seats on Craigslist in the 150-175 range. I think we can get in for about $100 around game time.

Any good spots you would recommend to tailgate?

Honestly I've never been to Evanston. I live in Chicago and a few of us may go down just to be around the action. I wouldn't want to pay more than a hundred to get in though, so we shall see what we find. D

The tailgating is right outside the stadium. There will be plenty of OSU folks tailgating.

Me and a buddy are heading up. Bought tickets on Stubhub about a month ago and we're sitting 2nd row around the 30 yard line for $210 a piece. Most expensive ticket I've ever bought but hopefully will be worth it. Eleven Warriors and the Ohio State Alumni Club are doing a hangout the night before and then a tailgate that is like $30 to get into but has all kinds of food and 2 beer tickets I believe. The website is http://www.elevenwarriors.com/2013/08/25232/announcing-the-windy-city-social-ohio-state-northwestern-football . Now that it seems like Gameday will be there as long as Ohio State wins I am incredibly pumped for the weekend. We're coming up early Friday to hangout and get settled in. Should be a great game.

That sounds like a pretty good time. We won't get in until around 3:00 A.M Saturday (Several of the guys have brothers or sons playing a game Friday - So we can't leave early). Friday sounds great and so does Saturday. I hope both teams hold serve this week and we have pure craziness next weekend.

I just don't understand the high price for a college fucking football game.

    IB4, "Then don't go."

College football is a medium of entertainment. If the price is that high, it is because people are willing to pay that much money to be entertained.

Does CYO charge for games now? :p

I spent $140 last week on A deck seats in 13A. I think it'd be better if this was played at Soldier Field

Idk just a better big game stadium. Or Wrigley if they can fit the field in
  • queencitybuckeye
OK. Personally, I like college games to be played on campus.

The game should be played at May Day Stadium in Pyongyang; 150,000 capacity.
