Early Bird Preview 2010

jpake1Just something to talk about while we wait for more football. For all those about to say it... yes we know it's too early and that this season isn't even over. Hence the EARLY BIRD part of the title.

gorocks99I didn't know Boise is returning 21 of 22 starters. If they beat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl, look out next year. They'll have a couple of legit games to get on the map (VT, Oregon St) and could be hanging around the top all season long.
-
jpake1My thoughts exactly. Even if they lose, I'd assume they'll start top 5 anyways. If they run the table, I really think it'll be the year they play for the championship.

MulvaUNC's defense could be scary good next year if they don't lose a bunch of juniors to the NFL.
If they can beat LSU to open the season they'll be right in the championship picture in my opinion. -
vdubb96Expect things to change not long after that, if Boise St. makes it to the NC.

jpake1Butch definitely has that team playing better football. They can make a big jump next year. I'm wondering which team starting out of the top 25 will end up being in the title hunt for most of the year and go to a big bowl game. Oregon did it that year with Dixon, and then again this year. Cinci did it this year. Wonder if it will continue.

MulvaUtah could be a possibility. They get BYU and TCU at home next year, and they'll have a couple of chances to make statements out of conference playing Pitt at home and away at Notre Dame.
