Hell I could field a high school football team that would run train on ND so I hope Gardner played lights out.WebFire;1518410 wrote:Just weeks ago they had beat ND, and Gardner played lights out. Since then...
Michigan simply isn't that good this year and will get blown out against OSU in November, and you can take that to the bank. -

WebFireOSU is going to throttle Michigan.

Yeah it's going to be worse than I originally thought. Michigan looks poor on both sides of the ball.WebFire;1528065 wrote:OSU is going to throttle Michigan. -

Like I said 7 wks ago... If you want to beat Michigan, stop Jeremy Gallon. Michigan is nothing without him.WebFire;1528065 wrote:OSU is going to throttle Michigan. -
ZombaypirateAs an Ohio St fan, this is really disappointing. First Penn St now Michigan St. Will someone in the Big Ten PLEASE step up. As much as Michigan is a rival it is not good for Ohio St for them to be an average football team. I thought I have seen Michigan have top recruiting classes? Is Brady Hoke that bad?

This may be a blesssing. If Michigan St can run the table, they will be a Top 10 team by the time we played them. -

Perhaps. Sparty needs to win out big and so do the Buckeyes. If Michigan State can get near the Top 10 and Ohio State beats them in the B1G championship then maybe - just maybe - that'll be enough to put Ohio State in the NC.rydawg5;1528082 wrote:This may be a blesssing. This is our only hope, so I'm a HUGE Sparty fan now!!!believer;1528106 wrote:Perhaps. Sparty needs to win out big and so do the Buckeyes. centralbucksfanThis "could" help. I think it would look better beating a one loss MSU team, with a great defense more than beating UM twice. But bottom line, OSU needs help with FSU and Oregon getting beat. But a lot of football left to play! Anything can happen.

pmoney25Two of the top three have to lose for us to have a chance. Beating an MSU team that lost to Notre Dame will not be enough

Where red the hell have you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in AGES. -
Classyposter58Shame this year isn't like 2007 where every top team kept losing. I'll admit though this is the BCS biggest flaw, 4 of the major conferences have dominant elite teams, and maybe the Big 12 does in Baylor too. It's all a guessing game who the top 2 are

I agree with both of these. If MSU can win out and have a good ranking for the championship game and OSU wins, it will help them to a degree. At least with not having to worry about being jumped by someone below them or getting placed below a one-loss team. But they'll still need teams above them to lose in order to get into the NC game. A one-loss MSU team would be a legit quality win, but beating a team that lost to ND this year isn't going to be some season-altering experience unless maybe they'd win 70-0 while other teams muddled their way to ugly 9-6 field goal wins. And even then, probably not, as the last time we had that happen, everyone apparently decided we needed a rematch of that abomination in the NC game.pmoney25;1528162 wrote:Two of the top three have to lose for us to have a chance. So Michigan St doesn't get a pass losing to a ranked team by 4 points but Stanford gets a pass losing to Utah, Texas A&M can lose to Ole Miss and so on..Heretic;1528345 wrote:I agree with both of these. When you consider the national reputation of the Big 10 according to pundits/voters, that's probably true.rydawg5;1528364 wrote:So Michigan St doesn't get a pass losing to a ranked team by 4 points but Stanford gets a pass losing to Utah, Texas A&M can lose to Ole Miss and so on.. -

Stanford has actually beat teams that are decent. And A&M didn't lose to Ole Miss. They lost to Alabama and Auburn. So yes. Not too mention Michigan State has played no one this year.rydawg5;1528364 wrote:So Michigan St doesn't get a pass losing to a ranked team by 4 points but Stanford gets a pass losing to Utah, Texas A&M can lose to Ole Miss and so on.. -
se-alumIs Gardner ok after the phantom injury he suffered throwing that goal line interception?
