Syracuse Under NCAA Investigation

Pick6No question Syracuse is dirty. Remembe Fab Melo being acedemically ineligible last year, then was somehow fine without a change in semester/quarter?
-
killer_ewokBasically it's the same thing they reported at this time last year right before the NCAA tournament except now football is mentioned. Nothing really new but gotta love the timing.
If they're dirty....nail 'em appropriately and get it over with. I just think the timing of this "breaking news" every March gets old. The NCAA needs to shit or get off the pot. -

He didn't play in the NCAA's though. The microscope that they were under at the time, I doubt they just fudged something for Fab or sent him out there knowing he was academically ineligible.
Now, I am a Syracuse hoops fan so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt here but you have to admit that breaking a story, which is basically the same story + football's involved, two years in a row on the eve of the NCAA's is a bit ridiculous. Yahoo! broke that story last year and now CBSSports.com is just re-running that same thing as breaking again. -

WebFireIf I was a betting man, I'd bet nothing happens.

PrescottThe NCAA is a joke. The jewelry issue with Lance Thomas has gone away. They play favorites.
-
sportchamppsThey do play favorites and someone has a problem with Boeheim

Fly4FunThis is the only reason I look forward to the possibility of "Super Conferences." They will have enough clout and if there are about 4 and they form their own new sports competition body they would have enough $$ from TV deals that they could split from the NCAA and finance their own collegiate championships for all sports.
The only way the NCAA goes away is if the schools take their power away from them, and a single school can't risk going out on their own, but with the possibility of Super Conferences it is possible.
