Crazy picks
-
reclegend22Temple Elite Eight is my craziest pick. And, to be sure, it is crazy. But when I get on the back of a team, I ride them until the party is over. I think that should be obvious by now with my constant and incessant repping of Temple, UNLV and La Salle this season. Haha.
I also have Wisconsin in the Final Four, which I think could happen. The Badgers got a very favorable draw in their tiny high school pod. -
wildcats20Most will think it's crazy, but I have Carolina beating Kansas.

That's not crazy imo. But it ain't happening -
reclegend22The only reason I think it would be considered crazy is because the game is being played in Kansas City. It will be tough for UNC to walk into the Sprint Center and walk out winners on the road in the plains. I think almost anywhere else UNC would have a great shot to win that game.
I think Nova's small ball lineup might be just a bit better than UNC's, though, when they are on, so I went with the Wildcats. -

Laley23Well, I can say my craziest pick is down. Fuck Mike Muscala. A SLIGHTLY below average game and they win. Couldnt handle a SHIT game though.

I see your point, and as Lalely said, I was referring to THE bracket, your official one that you'd put all the money on if you had to. When I was looking on ESPN, those guys submit their official bracket, and there is no side note of "but in my other brackets I have this this and this happening." I'm only in a couple of pools so I do this more for the bragging rights.Azubuike24;1410686 wrote:I mean, who doesn't do more than 1 pool?
Maybe it's just me though. March Madness is an opportunity to make money.
Obviously we all have the true prediction we think will happen, and that's likely reflective on the pool(s) you care most about.
Then again, I'm in the drudges of Ohio. The Big Ten bias is rampant, so in the pool(s) I do with those folks, why not go against the grain and not pick the commonly picked teams? Nothing is worse than being in the top 3-5 heading into the final weekend, and having the same outcomes as the people ahead of you. -
Fly4FunI agree with the general sentiment. You only get 1 official bracket to brag about, which has to be "called" in advance. If you want, make different brackets for different pools if you feel like it would help you win.
But I only ever fill out 1 bracket. I pick the games how I think they will play out, why would I want to change it in another? -

Money F4F, Money. Lot of ppl enter multiple brackets into a pool for the goal of $$$. You're above such petty goals no doubt.Fly4Fun;1410977 wrote:I agree with the general sentiment. I know. I even addressed that in my post. But I personally would rather just stay with my picks instead of hedging my bets with different brackets.Commander of Awesome;1410978 wrote:Money F4F, Money. this - i have 2 brackets in 2 pools for the chance at $4,500. Each bracket was $5, fuck integrity. If my second choice bracket wins over my 1st, F4F can brag about his integrity picks, i'll spend my winnings.Commander of Awesome;1410978 wrote:Money F4F, Money. This sounds like a loser mentality.Fly4Fun;1410980 wrote:I know. I even addressed that in my post. But I personally would rather just stay with my picks instead of hedging my bets with different brackets. -
reclegend22I don't know about everyone else, but none of the pools I am in are rewarding winners with "pride." We get money.

I just view the whole situation differently. I pick a bracket for the fun of seeing how I did. The money aspect is just a nice bonus, but it's not the reason why I pick a bracket.Raw Dawgin' it;1410993 wrote:This sounds like a loser mentality.
I have nothing against gambling/betting. It's just not the source of entertainment for me in this instance. I get more enjoyment out of the games themselves and from seeing how good I was at determining outcomes of games or sometimes how bad I was. -
Laley23I never enter more than 2 (what I think and then 1 with IU winning it all each year). Even if I can enter 50 I wouldnt do it. I seriosuly dont think my odds would go up enough to make the extra entry fee worth it. No matter what, I am losing to some 7 year old.

I enjoy a great game as much as the next guy - if that great game gets me closer to come cash I enjoy it even more. You're like these baseball assholes who talk about unwritten rules and the integrity of the game.Fly4Fun;1411000 wrote:I just view the whole situation differently.
