3rd Annual OC Player Pick-Em (Final Results & Updates Thread)
-
Laley23Note this year, cause its too late. But I think we should have a payout for the MVP. MVP would be the player who passes his projection by the most. So Russ smith for Lville averages 18ppg, so he should score 108 pts in the tourney. If you have a guy who averages only 10, but makes the titles game on like a 5 seed and gets his average that's 60. But it's 40 more than projected and you would beat Russ smith.
Keeps everyone in the thing a bit longer even if its just with a single player to root for. -

Who would that be so far? Ramon Galloway? Lyons and McGary were great values, too. If Michigan wins it's McGary.Laley23;1417149 wrote:Note this year, cause its too late. Per 40 is not the same as per game. -

Not sure. Anyone from Wichita State would have to be my guess though. I could go through and look later. But WSU is playing at least 4 more games than projected. Then again LaSalle did as well and McGary is killing his average despite only playing in 1 extra game thus far. Would be interesting to look at. You'd also probably have to consider the play-in teams as 2 game projections, unless we really wanted to look at the full 68 team breakdown.GOONx19;1417304 wrote:Who would that be so far? GOONx19Shoot, I keep forgetting Wichita State is a 9 because I had them in my Sweet 16.

Azubuike24Hopefully Rosario goes off for about 20 this half. Hell, Stauskas may score 30+.

FatHobbit
I'll need Russ Smith to score a bunch...ccrunner609;1417791 wrote:i dont think Wildcats can be caught -
birddog23Not that it matters but is my total correct? GOON doesn't have Michael Carter-Williams 24 points vs Indiana listed

GOONx19^ You're right, I missed it somehow. It'll be fixed whenever I update with the two games from yesterday.

Big_Mirg_ZHSlooks like im gonna finish on the money bubble. Damn buckeyes lol

Azubuike24I think FatHobbit wins. Russ will get 38 in 2 games. Stauskas will get enough to put me in 3rd, but even in 2 games, he's not going to score 65.
-
Crimson streakI need witchita st to win to have a chance. I would prefer Michigan to win bc Burke could go off and get me close to 50-60 points in 2 games
-
sportchamppsWho's going to win

wildcats20I don't see any way that Smith doesn't get at least 17 tonight. So I say fathobbit is going to take it.
I'd feel more confident if he needed 20+ tonight. -

He averaged 18/game in the regular season, so it's right at what he "should" score. But stranger things have happened. He still has to get it done.wildcats20;1421509 wrote:I don't see any way that Smith doesn't get at least 17 tonight. So I say fathobbit is going to take it.

Agreed. But he has scored less than 17 points 11 times this year. It's not a done deal yet.wildcats20;1421537 wrote:But he's scored at least 21 in every tournament game. -
IliketurtlesWildcats I think the best you can hope for is that Smith only gets 17 and you split the pot lol.

Terry_TateO/U for Russ Smith points is 21.5. He could score 17 or less, but Vegas knows their shit.
