I'd be surprised if he didn't get a 6th year due to this injury.

I misunderstood what you were saying I think. I thought you were saying you had to have injuries in 2 different seasons for a medical redshirt. That is why I said Re: Gardner.

I understand Gardner's situation. I explained it above. RRod burnt his redshirt because he's a dumbass. Then he got hurt later in the season and applied for the medical. So he gets a 5th year. He'll technically get 4 1/2 seasons of play in 5 years.

I think maybe the 2 year thing you were referring to was for 6th years? I think that is a major consideration for 6th years. Missing 2 seasons (or close to it) because of injury is when they usually consider a 6th year.

I don't expect Jake to go after a 6th year anyway.

    Found this on another site:
You can apply for a 6th year after your 5th year only if you missed two years because of injuries. In Ryan's case he did not miss his first year due to injury therefore a 6th year would not be granted.

In related news, Blake Countess has applied for his medical redshirt. He should get his no problem.

Ondre Pipkins came to Michigan at 347. He worked his ass off during the offseason and is down to 308. Kids is going to be a beast.

Here is a before and after picture for those who like looking at guys with no shirts on.

Didn't really want to start a new thread so figured I throw it out here. Michigan and Cincinnati have agreed on a game at the Big House for 2017. (Also doing a home and home for basketball)

I like it. Will probably make the trip up to see the stadium.

QB Russell Bellomy tore his ACL in practice and is out indefinitely This is pretty big, because he was likely going to be #2. Regardless, it will leave 2 scholly QBs, one of which will be a true frosh.

[LEFT]ANN ARBOR -- Will Hagerup has been reinstated to the Michigan football team, the school announced today, but the senior punter will have to sit out the 2013 season.
Hagerup was suspended in December for a violation of team rules and missed the Jan. 1 Outback Bowl. Hagerup is allowed to return to the program for voluntary summer workouts and team functions.
Hagerup will have one season of eligibility remaining.
In 2012, Hagerup averaged 45 yards a punt (33 punts for 1,486 yards).
