Well, he is allowed to just run straight over any defender in his way, so that helps. But yes, McAdoo is playing embarrassingly bad defense.

Duke shoots well over 50% from the field and starts the game on a 14-0 run.

Carolina shoots barely over 30% from the field and 1-14 from three-point range.

That's the game in a nutshell. Terrible, terrible performance on Senior Night. Hate that for Dexter.

Carolina may get another crack at Duke next week, but I'm not so sure they should want one.

I'm sure Andrew Wiggins was very impressed tonight...or not.

We'll find out now if Carolina has truly gotten better throughout the season. This is a demoralizing loss. Will they recover or will they fold?

My condolences. At least you got to hear Vitale.

I don't get too high on these.....it was a big win with an excellent margin but any nanny nanny boo boo's seem to lead to Lehigh celebrations.

    I don't like Lehigh celebrations.

#1 seeds are hoping UNC makes it to at least the ACCT tourney because they don't want them in the #8/#9 of their bracket.

Was shocked at how this game turned out. The way to beat duke is pretty clear, it requires high ball screens and lots of dribble penetration into the lane. Carolina is built for this at the moment. The fact this never occurred stems from the lack of development of a true pg by Roy and the emphasis on denying dribble penetration by Duke. Forcing the heels to take deep jumpers is a great way to get wins on the road and being led by seniors is a great way to get lopsided road wins.

Proud duke fan tonight. Strangely I feel they are still improving with Kelly's insertion back into the lineup. They may have their best basketball still ahead of them. Great feeling to have at this point. Haven't felt like this about a duke team in years maybe 2002, 1998?

With the emergence of Kelly and Plumlee on the boards, and the overall steadiness of the big three in Curry, Plumlee and Kelly (when one is having an off night, the next steps in), this year is shaping up eerily similar to 2010. I think Duke is coming together at just the right time.

The Blue Devils are the third best three-point shooting team in the country, even ahead of Indiana, but they also have three legitimate slashers (Curry, Cook and Sulaimon) and a NPOTY candidate center in the post. This is a very balanced team that reminds me a bit of the 2004 squad in that way. I'm excited about Duke's chances.

The 2004 had the title in grasp but the foul trouble against uconn doomed us. I don't see a team out here with that many bigs to really mimic that 2004 loss, but being thin at guard could be a harbinger of doom. Fingers crossed duke finds a way to get to Atlanta.

Good old fashioned ass kicking. Period.

Let's keep this thread alive a little longer.

I think that Duke beat a really good Carolina team that can make noise in the NCAA Tournament. As I figured would be the case heading in, the Heels' small lineup just couldn't contend with Duke's size (imagine saying that circa 2008). I couldn't even see North Carolina's players on the court at certain points last night. They just looked so small by comparison. As expected, Roy reverted back to the bigger lineup with James as the game progressed, but it was way too late. I imagine that if there is a third meeting in the ACC semis, UNC will be forced to play bigger inside from the get-go to try and negate the easy drives and points in the post. While I think that Duke has enough balance to mitigate any wrinkles that UNC throws at them, I do worry about trying to be a team three times, let alone a rival.

As it stands currently, UNC would play the winner of FSU/Clemson and then possibly face Duke in the ACC semis. Duke (right now) plays the winner of Maryland/Wake Forest. Opening the ACC Tournament with Maryland and UNC is not comforting.
