Good news for all of the teams in the Big 10 except one.

Wait? I thought he was already hired this past off-season as the Purdue OL coach?

Personally I always felt like he got a raw deal at OSU. I always thought Tressel was calling the plays and Bollman took the blame. We'll see now.

Regardless, the line sucked. That is 100% on him.

Personally, I think he was fucking terrible.

Did you not watch the oline and witness the lack of progression/improvement when he was there? It's not like they were so-so recruits. He sucked, bad.

He's also a total asshole in person. He should have been shown the door years ago.

Michigan State will now have the task of competing in the B1G while averaging 9.7 points of offensive production per game. Hope their defense is up to the challenge!

As much as I like Dantonio he's a disciple of "The Lying Hypocrite" and threw one of his old staff cronies a bone. First couple of years when Mark got there, MSU was turning it but last season was disapointing and now we will see if Sparty is really back or not.

Ales Boone is a perfect example....high school all american, pretty much sucked at Ohio State and now starting in the Super Bowl.

    What is the denominator?

I am hardly qualified to evaluate an offensive line and I am not trying to defend Bollman. I just always found it amusing that everyone LOVED Tressel (myself included) and Tressel claimed to be in charge of the offense and to have little to do with the defense. Whenever something went wrong on offense it seemed to me like Bollman took the heat instead of Tressel and Tressel always got credit for having a great defense.

Also, whenever I think of Alex Boone I can't help but picture a gigantic drunk swinging on a tow truck chain while the police close in with tasers.

Mike Adams was another. While he is ok, for Pittsburgh, he still has a lot of growing to do.

I felt his development was lacking during his time at OSU. I thought he would be dominant.

The whole "brew crew" disappointed. Luckily we had elusive and good scramblers as qb's.

Bollman jusy couldn't develop guys. Boone is the perfect example. Highly sought after recruit. Really never got better frok sophomore year on, then gets to the nfl and now is a starter.

Though in boones case, giving up drinking was also a big part of his rise.

Thought Brewster was solid....other than that, meh
