Dane Sanzenbacher for OSU is not that much faster than this kid and he does well for OSU in the slot.

Good for you on being a track coach.

    LOLOLOLOLOLOL 4.6 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I am a track coach and have 3/4 of my team every year that can run that.

Let's see, you can't take a shot at his star ranking because this kid isn't highly regarded, so now you have to make fun of his size and speed.........pathetic man, just pathetic. You really have some issues. BTW, I bet your students do a hell of a job typing "LOL".

I could give a shit less about 40 times.....

He he runs good routes and catches the ball, he will be fine.

Slot receiver is one position that a smarter athlete can outperform a better athlete. You're often matched up with an outside linebacker or strong safety, so you're not facing the best athletes on the field. Dane Sanzenbacher goes to work on reading zones well and mismatches with slower linebackers. You don't need to be 6'2, you don't need to be 220 pounds, and you don't need to be able to run a 4.4 forty. I'm not guaranteeing this kid will be a stud (I'm not dumb enough to make guarantees in this world of uncertainty); but if he's smart (and the Harvard offer insinuates that), he can manage the slot position.

Safety is another position you can manage not being a world-class athlete. Look at Aaron Kovacs at Michigan. Now I'm not saying Michigan has a stalwart defense, he just comes to mind. AJ Hawk and James Laurinitis are solid examples of three-star recruits turning oout to be studs. I'm not saying he's on that route, but the bottom line is he seems like a precocious, solid athlete. I'll take a few of these guys on a team. But if Brian Kelly thinks he's going to "develop" all the athletes he needs, I'm going to have some disagreements with him.

This though, is interesting to me because it's Cris Collinsworth's son. It's very interesting in my opinion.

You're seriously replying a day later with the standard 'what have you done' retort over a remark about some guy who played 20 years ago?

    Lighten up Francis.

Yes, because OSU doesn't have sons of former NFL/College players on their team. Oh wait, one isn't making the trip to the Rose Bowl. Good call.
OSU's won more than 1 bowl since 1994 and they don't have an NCAA record 9 straight bowl losses, so they can have as many celebrities as they want.

    ND on the other hand...

    ^^^^^What a dolt!
  • The Equalizer
Vance Johnson played in three super bowls. He was a jobber in the NFL too. I have higher hopes for the younger Collinsworth @ ND.
  • Crimson_Streak
actually sazenbacher has so good speed to him he was 7th in d-1 in the 400 at state and ran the 200 in a very low time
