I don't think any $EC teams could beat any NFL teams, but I bet all of them could beat Notre Dame.

Alabama could win a game against an NFL team...it would have to be a perfect day for them and the right opponent...but they have the talent to do it.

    No, they don't.

If Spurrier wants to talk up Alabama, fine, but let’s get real: The idea that Alabama could compete with any NFL team is ridiculous. Whoever you think is the worst team in the NFL — Chiefs, Jaguars, Panthers, whoever — would absolutely destroy Alabama. This year’s Alabama team is loaded with talent, but “loaded with talent” in college football means the Crimson Tide have maybe 30 players who will be good enough to play in the NFL some day. Every NFL team has 53 players who are good enough to play in the NFL right now.

The only team that could come close would be the 2001 Miami team. Crazy crazy talent

I'm guessing a couple college teams from the last 10 years would beat some shitty 1960 teams. College teams would be soooo much bigger faster stronger.

No chance. 2002 OSU proved it was simply the better team. 2002 OSU is the best CFB team of the past 40 years and would lose to any NFL team by 2-3 field goals.

No way in hell they beat the 01 canes. They had 17 first round draft picks on that team. That is unbelievable

And Ohio State had Craig Krenzel.

16, when adjusting for the next expansion since the incoming teams instantly raise their level of play to SEC-caliber. This includes Appalachian State and Virginia Military Institute, should they decide to expand their footprint.
