This is why these awards are a joke IMHO.

Wisconsin got an awful lot of love for finishing 3rd in their division...

    :(

The team that manhandled both the pretenders in the League Championship game gets no 1st Team Offense, Shazier 2nd Team?!?!...Joke, Travesty, Despicable, Ridiculous...pick one.

The jealousy and disrespect for Urbie from the rest of the B1G ass clown coaches is now on record. God have mercy on their souls because next year will be like Sherman burning Atlanta.

Ramzy Nasrallah ‏@ramzy Bill O'Brien also wins the Hoke-Beilein Award for losing to both Ohio and Ohio State in the same calendar year.

Probably the greatest woman on earth.

Elika Sadeghi ‏@steakNstiffarms Seriously though, congrats to Bill O'Brien on the B1G COY Award. A prestigious fraternity that includes Ron Zook and John L. Smith.

I just kinda see it as people saying Braxton is a great player, but not a great QB.

Perhaps, but it is odd to not even be 1st team for your position but somehow are the best offensive player. Denard was kind of the same way, but I believe he was 1st team QB the year he was offensive POTY.

While I think it should have been Urban, I'm ok with it being O'Brien.

Braxton also won the Griese–Brees Quarterback of the Year award.

The B1G awards have stupid names.
  • wildcats20
The media voted Denard both, but the coaches had Dan Persa as their first team QB and Denard wasn't even 2nd team.

Back to this for a second. Michigan was 3rd in total D (only 4 yards behind Wisc) in the B1G, and only had a one 2nd teamer. OSU was 7th in total D and had 3 1st teamers, plus another 3 in the media picks for a total of 6 1st teamers. Also had the defensive POY. I don't think there was an anti-Buckeye voting revolution.

That makes even less sense then.

or Michigan might have a better defense overall, but not the starpower OSU has.

I mean come on..Miller voted second team and wins QB of the year AND Offensive POY...clearly some people butt hurt.

I agree, these 2 were the best outside LBs in the B1G hands down. For either to not be on the first team is a joke. I expected more love for some of the Buckeye O-Linemen also although I realize there are 11 other teams in the League. I suspect that there is that high school you vote for mine and I'll vote for yours mentallity among some of the coaches.
