Is Gardner the starter the rest of the year?

Honestly, I think Robinson's injury says yes. He grimaced in pain today when him and Gardner celebrated. He still can't grip the football 2 weeks after he went out. I think he is done, until maybe the bowl game.

That was one hell of a catch to setup the field goal at the end of the game. He did a great job staying focused on the ball.

Is it Robinson's elbow, is it the nerves emanating from the elbow, or both?

I think it's just the nerves IN the elbow.

I'll tell you the reason why I said great. With about 2 minutes left, Gardner throws a bad ball, and it gets intercepted. When he comes back out, looking at :30 on the clock, he has A LOT of adversity and pressure on him that continues into OT. HE made the throws (and ran the TD) to win the game. It's great because it gave (should have anyway) him all the confidence in the world.

It was great because it allowed a young QB to get a second chance on his mistake and lead the team to a victory.

Now, if it were Denard in there, it'd just be a good win/ugly win, much like the 2010 "basketball" game vs. Illinois.

^^^again, your definition (ie expectations for) of a "great" tsun win isn't what it used to be...that being said, it's your opinion, so it's all good.

I don't think he means great as far as the history book goes.

Sounds like the ulnar nerve is the one giving him fits. They showed him in pregame and he couldn't throw the ball with any zip...as in none. Looked like a 3rd grader throwing.

If he's back to throwing like normal, why did Gardner get the start?

Little fun fact...since the NCAA adopted the overtime format in 1996, Michigan is 8-1, tied with South Florida for best in the nation.

Notice at the :35 mark; Denard and Devin celebrate Devin's TD run, and Denard noticeably grimaces in pain because they bump elbows.
