Marcus Lattimore

Azubuike24Reports of fully torn ACL, MCL, PCL and kneecap torn completely off the knee. Usually with these things a full tear is better than a partial or broken bone, but still.
The only good news is no reports on a broken Tibia. Break your Tibia and it's likely career-ending. -
said_aouitaHuge advancements in the medical field from when Willis blew out his knee. I bet no longer a 1st rounder but he will still get a chance in the NFL.

Midstate01RT @MarkMizzouSteel: Broken femur, broken patella, torn ACL, torn MCL, torn PCL, and torn LCL for Lattimore. My heart goes out to the young man. Brutal.
Career likely over -

No he won't. Willis wasn't made of paper before his injury. No NFL team is going to take a chance on a kid with that kind of injury history.said_aouita;1305917 wrote:Huge advancements in the medical field from when Willis blew out his knee. Someone will for the simple fact he has some great talent. Maybe a 6th or 7th rounder. Could move up to the 3rd or 4th if he can show he has that explosiveness back -

Sure its possible. Unlikely, but possible. I certainly didn't think Willis would get his shot; but I'm more confident in Lattimore being done than I was with Willis.Crimson streak;1306038 wrote:Someone will for the simple fact he has some great talent. jhay78Most gruesome injury I've ever seen on a football field. I truly feel sad for the young man, he was certainly an amazing talent.

End of LineForget about NFL talk, I just hope he'll have proper function of his leg for the rest of his life.

This. He will never play football again.End of Line;1306126 wrote:Forget about NFL talk, I just hope he'll have proper function of his leg for the rest of his life.
When the trainer first went out, he relocated the Tibofemoral joint as you saw a huge clunk. That indicates severe ligamentous rupture. Similar to Robert Edwards of the New England Patriots dislocating his knee at the sand football game for rookies that is no longer played. Lattimore's lower leg was in jeopardy as the only structure left is the popliteal artery and tibial nerve. If the artery ruptures, he could have lost his leg. -

Good post....btw, are you in the medical field, or did you just stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?rip34;1306164 wrote:This. He will never play football again.

dlazzAccording to Spurrier today, he says that Lattimore had a dislocated knee and would play football again.
Either he's high, Marcus has shitty doctors, or we're all blind. -
Azubuike24The reports seem to be conflicting. It wouldn't make sense for anyone to lie though.

This could be legit I've seen a kid do the same but not as bad and he played again 4-5 weeks later. But he didn't tear anything just dislocated his knee -
vball10setIt may be best for Lattimore if he was never allowed to see video of this hit, at least until his playing career is over.

xKoToVxSyNdRoMeHis mom must have slept with Stretch Armstrong for him to have not royally fucked every bit of that knee up.
Seriously. It was going the completely wrong direction. -

Or maybe he's just trying to keep the kids hopes up? -
ricolaA dislocated knee is as bad a leg injury as there is: all ligaments torn. As mentioned above, major potential to nerve and vascular structure damage that would be career threatening, not to mention limb threatening. If indeed there are no artery/nerve injuries, there is an outside chance he could play again, but youre talking complete knee reconstruction, and theres just no way that knee is ever the same as before. To play pro ball on that would be asking for a miracle.

jhay78The "all ligaments torn" part seemed to be left out of Spurrier's comments and most ESPN reports lately. But anyone with common sense who saw that injury would have to assume those details.
