Assuming we recruited black women, we could probably win the SEC East.sleeper;1307342 wrote:Exactly. I don't care if the Buckeyes started only recruited women; you find a way to win with adversity. -
HereticMy friends and I still get together for every game and have a good time. I think for me, it's the other six days of the week where the excitement fades.
Leads to the follow-up question of how excited is "should be" for this season? On one hand, they're three games away from a potential unbeaten season. On the other hand, the conference pretty much sucks this year, there were no big out-of-conference opponents and the season's over after 12 games with no conference championship or bowl -- which makes things less interesting overall. It's easy to be pumped up for the games themselves, but with nothing tangible to play for, it's not so easy to get pumped up for the season in general. Sort of a weird situation that makes the season feel strange, since there's no real pay-off (for fans) other than being able to say they're the uncrowned league champs. -
Pick6Dont know how much I buy into that "source". Is it possible Fickell and Meyer are clashing internally? Yes.
A part that stuck out to me is about Fickell saying OSU isnt interested in the WR.
1) Why would Fickell have a say on what offensive players OSU is or isnt interested in.
2) Who cares if he got an offer from Notre Dame. Notre Dame is having a good season and all of the sudden they are kings of college football again and a program OSU should be modeling itself after? -

This is it for me. I still love watching them play but they are not as good IMO as their record would indicate. There's something to be said for them finding ways to win, but they certainly aren't great and they are undefeated only because they haven't played anyone so I can't get too excited about how good they are.BigAppleBuckeye;1305422 wrote:but I felt my blood boiling watching the ineptitude of (most) of the Purdue game. -

Mooney44CardsIt's like dating a chick that is saving herself for marriage. I mean the dates are fun and all, but you know all that work you're putting in isn't going to lead to the big payoff. But you enjoy it while it lasts anyways because, hey, this dick isn't going to jerk itself off.

Ohio State running back Jordan Hall will miss the rest of the season, take a redshirt year and return in 2013, Coach Urban Meyer said on 97.1 The Fan on Thursday afternoon.
A three-year letter-winner, Hall has played sparingly this season because of injuries.
He missed the beginning of the season with a foot laceration that required surgery. Then he partially tore the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Ohio State’s 17-16 win over Michigan State in Week 6.
Hall is third on the Buckeyes in rushing with 218 yards on 40 carries. He has one touchdown on the ground and three catches for 31 yards.
In recent weeks, Meyer and the OSU coaching staff have said redshirting Hall wasn’t in the thought process. That process obviously has changed.
Meyer said Hall is “bouncing around a little bit,” but the plan now is for Hall to redshirt and return next year.
Meyer lamented in recent weeks the injury to Hall.
“You just hate to see that because it’s a kid who has worked his tail off, one of the hardest-working guys we had in the offseason,” Meyer said.
With Hall out of action, Ohio State has relied heavily on junior Carlos Hyde, who has 737 yards rushing — second only to the 1,166 yards posted by quarterback Braxton Miller.
Sophomore Rod Smith (211 yards) and freshman Bri’onte Dunn (133 yards) have also gotten time at running back.
With Hyde, Smith, Dunn and now Hall all expected to be at running back next year, the position seems rather crowded.
Another freshmen, Warren Ball, is redshirting this year. Additionally, this year’s recruiting class includes Ezekiel Elliott (St. Louis) and Jalen Marshall (Middletown). Marshall played quarterback in high school, but is expected to play the flex/hybrid position, as Percy Harvin did for Meyer at Florida.

sleeperI'd rather just see more of Hyde or Dunn than Jordan Hall. Hall sucks, he was only on the team because of Pryor.

I don't think we'll see much of Hall at a true RB position. He and Marshall will play the Percy Harvin role.sleeper;1316470 wrote:I'd rather just see more of Hyde or Dunn than Jordan Hall. Hall sucks, he was only on the team because of Pryor. -

Hall is a senior.se-alum;1316491 wrote:I don't think we'll see much of Hall at a true RB position. He and Marshall will play the Percy Harvin role. -
zach24ozIf Hall wants on the field he'd be open to be switched over from a RB to a slot/flex wr/rb position. Imaine a lineup with Miller, Hyde, Dunn/Elliot, Marshall/Hall

TiernanUntil tomorrow we are still the only 10 - 0 team in the country and YES I'm Fkn Excited! If we can do the 12 - 0 thing its still an incredible accomplishment and Urbie & the boys should be very proud. (Hell I may even quit calling him Urbie...)

Midstate01Hall will have to play in the slot or something. He won't be takin many carries from Hyde that's for sure.

BigdoggThe only bowl that matters this year is the Michigan/Buckeye one.
