Ohio State Future Non-Conference Schedules

That'll help as far as strength of schedule goes, as I can't imagine Vandy being much better than the worst MAC teams and likely worse than most of that conference.

Bama has an opening still on their schedule next year. Schedule them. Thats a way to replace another SEC team, (in which Vandy was wrong on how they did that). Bama needs a tough game. They get out of playing the top 3 SEC East teams again next year, unlike LSU who plays UF and UGA next year while Bama gets UK and Tenn. That would be a perfect team to call and make their easy route to a title game a little tougher.

Except they are pussies that won't travel to Columbus....

That's true. Bama wants no part of OSU.

Next years schedule is gonna make it hard for OSU to make it to a national championship game. The co liters are gonna really hurt their chances.

I have a feeling Bama wouldn't agree to a game in the shoe. If they would, I say why not. Ohio State may be down enough for them to agree to it. I think they showed when Saban was hired they won't come to a big ten stadium when the opponent is very high. Of course I am referring to Bama chickening out of the Penn State game years ago, only to delay it until they were good and PSU wasn't.

Then play at a neutral site. Thats the trend lately. Just play one game, not a home and home. And I highly doubt it if bama is afraid of OSU, lol.

    I can't disagree there.

Alabama vs Ohio State. Saban vs Meyer. Play the game in Charlotte or something. I'd love to see it.
  • georgemc80
No. Neutral sites ass. Ohio State wants a home game for the opener. Home and home or no dice. Of course Bama isn't afraid of OSU now. They are still on the rise and Bama is at the top. It's when Bama isn't at the top they show the cowardice.

Ohio State would skullfuck Alabama back to the stone age. Bama is perfectly content waking up once a year to play LSU and their SEC East offense than actually going out and playing the big boys of college football.

Let me know if the call is made. I know nothing as to what Bama would say, but for the sake of the sport, OSU should call Bama today and ask for opening night at the Shoe 2013. The media would hype the crap out of that game starting at the NFL Draft...

I'd love to see it too, Azu, and even though the Buckeyes would be prohibitive underdogs (as they should be), it'd be a great way to kick off the season.

Bama will always be a top team with Saban as coach.

But, it would probably hurt any chance of a title game getting thumped. If it was a close game, then it would help, even if it was a loss since its at the beginning of the year. I just dont think it would be close.

I'd be all for a home/home with Alabama, unfortunately I doubt the shot callers for either university would feel the same.

This would be completely awesome....but it would never happen. I wish they could do it like Mich/Bama did...on a neutral field

And Bama seems to like neutral field games. They have VT next year in atlanta besides the Michigan game they had this year.

    OSU vs West Virginia?

They currently have the #19 recruiting class in the country

I doubt that Alabama would be willing to play home and home with OSU in the next 2 seasons and it's not because they're afraid of them, it's because they don't have to. If they needed that extra strength of schedule they probably would go for something like that but they don't. I'd say 25-75% chance on the neutral field idea. I like this game anyway it can be set up. Ohio State needs it more for credibility than Alabama does, so the ball would be in Saban's court (his choice) I don't think it will happen but it's fun to think about if it did. OSU should be better next season and the season after that I think from a talent perspective they will be ready to compete with the Alabamas of the world.

Huge News: Ohio State and Oregon have agreed to a home-and-home in 2020 and 2021, with the first game in Eugene. Second in Columbus.

By then, O will have players running as fast as the speed of light and linemen pushing 260, lol.

Wow didn't see that yesterday. Should be a fun series as long as Chip is still around.

I wouldn't bet on it. I think he'll be caught for doing something/leave for NFL by then ala Pete Carroll.
