Sold his shit to pay for his mom's heating? GTFO.
How'd he manage to pay for her Nissan 350z and a new pair of Jordan's every damn week?
But it's cool, we'll hear about it in his book. Awesome. -

0311sdpEven if his story is true, that's not the only thing that he did that was a violation of NCAA rules. (God's work, C'mon Terrelle even you can do better than that) I don't want to read his dumbass book or even hear anything else he has to say, his era is done at OSU and we have all moved on so STFU, no one cares anymore.

derek bomarso... new cars, lived in expensive pads, new gear, hundred dollar hand-shakes, no collegiate expenses to pay for... and he does this? Has the fucker ever heard of a god damn Stafford loan?
Fuck this asshole. He'll be out of the league in two years anyway. And no one will buy his fucking book. -
georgemc80And he will make more in those two to three years than most make in 15 years. Hell some people will never make that much.
He got 585,000 dollar signing bonus...plus almost 800k over two years. Another million plus during the last two years.
He really doesn't need to sell books. -
FatHobbitI won't be buying his book

Most pro athletes go broke. Knowing Pryor and how big of a moron he is, he's probably already 2-3 million in debt.georgemc80;1166634 wrote:And he will make more in those two to three years than most make in 15 years. Hell some people will never make that much.

georgemc80MOST? I doubt most NFL football players are broke. Now if you include anyone that has ever received a paycheck for sports, then you may have a point. Those stories are shocking, but not prevelant.

78% would be "most" to me.• By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or divorce.
• Within five years of retirement, an estimated 60% of former NBA players are broke. -

I think that people believe that every pro makes $5 million+/ year. That isn't the case. Take the average salary and the average career, and you'll see that "most" players run out of money quickly. Even if they get a regular job, it's not going to be remotely close to their NFL salary. That drop in salary with the debt that they most likely have doesn't bode well.
People like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning won't go broke.
Hell look at T.O. he was considered one of the best WRs of the last 10 years, and I'm pretty sure he's broke now; even with a tv show and modeling/acting gigs. -

puh-lease. To derek bomar's point... have these pricks ever heard of a loan?!?!?! I'm sick of the college athletes whining that they do9n't have money. I know for a FACT these kids (even the ones at MAC schools) are receiving FAR MORE than the average collegiate student, in terms of benefits, stipends, and opportunities. #CryMeARiver. -

Yes he will; because I guarantee you he will be one of the statistics - i.e., 78% of NFL players are bankrupt or facing serious financial stress within two years of ending their playing careers (SOURCE: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1153364 and http://www.usatoday.com/sports/story/2012-04-22/Pro-athletes-and-financial-trouble/54465664/1). You can book it Pryor's ignorant @$$ will be one of the 78%.georgemc80;1166634 wrote:And he will make more in those two to three years than most make in 15 years. Exactly. It's a joke. They are getting a free college education and they get a monthly stipend. It's more than enough to live on and to buy a few toys. Amazing stat really. I am just glad I am a public employee and my retirement at 52 is secured. God willing that gives me 40 years living off of the taxpayers.

Tigerfan00Next one on that list will be Cromartie, I dont see how he can live his current lifestyle while paying for 10 kids. Im sure Ray Lewis wont be far behind with his 6 kids with 4 women.
