Players you miss watching the most?

  • goosebumps
I really miss watching Mardy Gilyard light up the field for the Cats. Dude was unstoppable. I'm excited to see if he can break into the starting lineup for the Eagles this fall. (I have to cheer for the eagles now, they have 4 bearcats on their roster. Trent Cole, Brent Celek, Jason Kelce all start with Mardy getting picked up in the offseason)

Mike Doss and Will Allen. They could lay the wood on somebody. Pretty much the entire 2002 team. They didn't win pretty, but they were fun to watch.

Troy Smith making defenses look silly...

One player who I thought was really electric to watch, until he snapped his leg in a game, was Tyrone Prothro from Alabama. I think he broke his leg against Florida. Nasty break.

Joe Bauserman. He wasn't good, but I miss watching him.

A lot of guys from Lloyd Carr's days.

The one that stands out is Drew Henson because he was so talented but decided to go with the Yankees instead of sticking around for a few more years.

I'd say it probably hurt a bit.

The worst part about that (I remember watching the game live) is that it was late in the game and it was a BLOWOUT at that point (31-3) and instead of kicking a FG on 4th down, Alabama's HC (was it Mike Schula?) opted to run the score up and instead ruined Prothro's career.

I'm pretty sure it hurts anywhere else as well. The only difference is the Florida player was probably in receipt of a bag full of money for the "bounty" on Prothro.

Mike Nugent, only because when he was on the field you knew you were scoring points.
