Makes perfect sense to me. I said this when everyone was laughing at the Big East for their "pick ups" being weak; they were almost all in major TV markets, with a lot of donors. They're going to pay for the best they can get now they have the BE and all the money, exposure, and attention that comes along with it.

SMU has a lot donors with big time $$$.. they want to be relevant on the national stage again. If there athletic programs were stock options I would say buy, buy, buy.
