When you said CBS usually puts the better game at the later slot, do you know why they do that? It's because they put the game they think will get the better TV ratings in the later game. OSU/Kansas will bring a better rating than UK/UL...so no it's not my opinion.wghfan;1127869 wrote:That is your opinion, but not mine. -

LJUk blowing UL out by 20 /= better game

Nope it is going to be close. Ohio St. blowing out Kansas= better game.LJ;1127883 wrote:Uk blowing UL out by 20 /= better game -
Azubuike24Nationally, I actually think UK/UL will get better ratings. I'll say that, only because those 2 markets are usually top 5 in viewership. The losing market, especially if Louisville loses, won't watch the 2nd game. I'd think the overall ratings will be very close.
However, in-terms of what has the potential to be more competitive, obviously you would pick OSU/KU. There is a reason Vegas says UK -9 and Ohio State -2. That's usually a good indicator... -
sportchamppsPersonally I'm an OSU fan but both games have good story lines. How can you not be interest in UK UL Calapari/pitino stroylines.

I said it's more of the Pitino/UK storyline. But yeah, I agree.sportchampps;1127888 wrote:Personally I'm an OSU fan but both games have good story lines. How can you not be interest in UK UL Calapari/pitino stroylines. -
SportsAndLadyI'm definitely interested in the UL/UK game..but when your team is one of the other 2 teams playing, you don't really care as much as if your team was out.

Azubuike24KenPom has Ohio State winning 70-67.

I think nationally, OSU - Kansas will have bigger ratings. Both have huge alumni/student bases and they cover two different parts of the nation drawing in more "local" interest as well.Azubuike24;1127885 wrote:Nationally, I actually think UK/UL will get better ratings. More interest nationally, totally agree. From the actual TV ratings, we'll see. I know in the past, the city of Louisville alone has really influenced the NCAA Tournament ratings.hoops23;1127918 wrote:I think nationally, OSU - Kansas will have bigger ratings. I totally agree with OSU/KU in primetime though. It's projected to be the better game...no argument. -
Big Gain
I once got a call at work the morning of the Final Game. A salesman asked me if I wanted to go to the game. I told him not to BS me. He told me to be at the airport in an hour, the company jet would pick me up. SO it does happen.Ironman92;1127804 wrote:My wife's boss (attorney who attends every OSU football game, even the bowls) just texted my wife and asked her if we wanted to go to the Final 4 with him (very good seats)
Then he texted back.....Just Kidding

Azubuike24I may be going with a buddy of mine, courtesy of tOSU (corporate sponsor box).
I mean...all sorts of emotions...I couldn't even fathom a UK/OSU title game. I've never been to the Big Easy though and free tix to UK/UL (regardless of what game happens Monday night) would be too much to pass up. Flights to N.O. are a bit pricey though...gonna be at least $1200 just to get there and back. -
Big GainAn interesting stat. The 4 schools in the Final Four have been there a total of 49 times.

I haven't looked but sometimes flying into Gulfport Mississippi is cheaper. And only about 50 minutes from Nola. -

Even as an osu homer, you look at that and figure the other 3 teams would have way more appearances then osu. But this will be our 11th. Not bad for a football school! -

Curly JThe best way I've found is reheating it in a skillet on a stove, but I will eat it cold.

DeadliestWarrior34An interesting stat. The 4 schools in the Final Four have been there a total of 61 times, if they all go next year.
